Friends Fur Life Blogathon
I love a good blogathon
every once in a while,
and this one should be fun!
On October 27-29, posts by participating bloggers
will celebrate their favourite movie/TV onscreen critters
who are pets, friends or companions to us humans.
If this sounds like your cup of tea,
full rules and signup sheets are available at
Hamlette's Soliloquy and The Midnite Drive-In blogs.
I've already signed up to do TWO posts --
(1) Alligator Loki from
the 2021 Disney+ series Loki, and
(2) Rocket Raccoon from the
MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
STOP ME BEFORE I SIGN UP FOR MORE!
Maybe I'll see some of you
at the blogathon too?

Gators 'n Crocs
I can never tell them apart!
And speaking of Steve Irwin,
his place in the pantheon
is secure!
Don't you just
miss them ALL?

Who DOESN'T Love Raccoons?
This poor little bitter vocabulary purist
is one of my favourite TV commercials
at the moment --
And of course, can't forget
my favourite
Marvel superheroes --
The Raccoon Bros!

Yay, It's National Lizard Day Today!
No, it's not. I just needed a catchy title for this post of lizard memes and images.
Of course, I'm using the word "lizard" very loosely here. I'm no naturalist, so I'm not even sure what half these critters are, factually speaking. And I know, I know, some of them are really dinosaurs but jeez, aren't dinosaurs just big, extinct lizards?
Cut me some slack, willya?

(This next one, ladies -- amirite? Amirite? Hell, yeah!)
I'll leave you with this final, creepy gif. You're welcome.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
