Hyde Pubs 1975 (23)
Like the Woodman this is another pub of which all trace has been totally obliterated by the M67 Motorway. The map in Paul Taylor's History of the Pubs of Hyde and District puts it on the left hand side of Grafton Street just beyond Pitt Street and immediately before the junction with Newton Street.
This is a photograph taken at the end of what's left of Grafton Street which now does a 90 degree turn into Pitt Street on the other side of the Portman Motors building on the right. The Highland Laddie would have been somewhere amongst the trees immediately behind the car on the left.

Hyde Pubs 1975 (20)
Now derelict and difficult to spot when you're driving past unless you know exactly where it is.....
.....and what it looks like.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
