This mural was seen in a small lane just off Hay Street, in the city centre, when I went to meet the Committee members of the Portuguese Australian Women's Association, on the 11th of February.

It was painted by Perth artist Joanna Brown of laelinedesign in October 2021. I can't believe I had never noticed it before on my once in a while forays into the city centre...

In Hay Street I also saw this very modern electrical box.

When we went to Scarborough Beach in January with our daughter Karina, and again for the Brazilian Carnival in February, I saw this huge mural painted on the walls of the Scarborough Surf Life Saving Club -  Scarborough beach is ok! which captures the essence of the northern beach suburb of Scarborough

Painted at the end of September 2022 by ArtbyRow, aka Adam Cicanese, the mural includes a QR code that takes people to a page showcasing what Scarborough has to offer. The mural will probably not be around for more than 3 years, when the council expects further development in the area.

On the 5th of February we attended a 3rd birthday party at a park next to the Swan River, near the Burswood Casino, and on the way there I spotted this mural, so of course Jose stopped so I could take photos :)

IT was painted on the 1st of April 2022, on the walls of Perth Montessori School at 150 Burswood Road, Burswood, by Perth artist Melski with "guests" who popped in to help with the finishing touches.

The artist's work reflects cultural and historical elements of the locations in which she paints, celebrating what is quintessentially Australian.

A surprising find - a Frida Kahlo mural - in the small lane where our guest house was located in Ubud, just before we reached Joglo Organik restaurant where we had lunch one of the days - the murals of the Balinese women are inside the restaurant. 

The mural of the cat that was being painted at the Ubud Yoga House  was also in the same lane.
