Precious
I hope you realise that you are one of a kind and you have a very special place here on God's beautiful earth. I lnow that there are sorrows and struggles . I know that the darkness of evil exists yet I am persuaded there is light and love and joy and strength. Where there is despair there is also hope.
I am so grateful for my family and friends that God has blessed me with but even in the times I feel alone if I only pause to reflect on the goodness of God and the many times he has been faithful that is when faith takes over where feelings fail me.
I have friends going through many things from sickness to loss of loved ones. There is so much going on in the world as well. Wars and hunger and broken hearts. I feel like my problems are much too small to mention but do you know God cares about the little things too? It builds our faith and our relationship with God to talk to him about anything. Life is full of small miracles and we often do not take notice but God notices us as busy as He is!
His thoughts towards us are precious!
This song has been in my mind for weeks, over a month actually. I have it on my profile page. It is the song of my heart these days. I wake up and it is there. I have bren singing it. Sunday morning we had a guest minister and he played and sang it. It was awesome really because it was the first time I heard it at my church. I had gotten away from singing it last week but the Lord brought it back.
I am going through a time of adjustment. It sounds funny perhaps but I didn't realize I had much of a routine until my husband retired. I would not trade this time for anything because it is precious and I love him but I'm trying to work my own personal time out. I don't have the same sort of quiet time. We used to have our coffee, talk and pray then he had to work. Sometimes I'd light a candle and just have music on for awhile. Now it is also his well deserved time and sometimes there is sports and fishing or handyman things on. I have to give and take and share. Housework is different. He blesses me and helps yet we are gone more doing and seeing things so I am trying to balance getting it all done. Monday wash is whatever and whenever. It is just little things. Nothing is wrong , I am just adjusting.
Other things have been happening too and it is so sweet. He has cooked me breakfast sometimes and other meals too. I am blessed.
I know that every single day is a gift from God. None of us are promised tomorrow. I pray to be a blessing to my husband and all God places in our path.
We went to small group tonight and it was very good. It is about going deeper in our faith. We focused on the book of Romans tonight and also read the chapter that has the spiritual fruit in Galatians.
Sharing with others is good and opening up about struggles to learn that others may also be going through the same thing or went through it. It has been good to break bread together and talk, laugh and pray and read the Bible together.
We do have fun together and leave feeling more at peace.
Remember you are beloved. God's precious jewel.

The Week Before Spring
This is what it looked like at the Parklands today on our winter walk. In the next few weeks it will begin to look much different. There will also be beautiful wildflowers everywhere this summer. That keeps me busy with my camera. It is just one week before Spring officially begins. The last few days have had sunshine, sleet and snow but today it was 52 degrees and sunny so we are getting back to some nicer weather. Tomorrow is suppose to be 62 and it looks like we may make it up to 70 this week. That's life in southern Indiana.
Here is one of the squirrels that came to visit today. I was looking up on google sites about somethings that squirrels can eat and found out they love apples. You just have to make sure to get rid of the core and seeds because they can be like poison to the squirrels. I cut them in slices to make it easier for them. It is also suppose to be good not to feed it too often because of the high sugar content otherwise it is an enjoyable treat for them.
The picture above is my husband with our little grandson Oliver. We went to the park in Owensboro, KY last week. It was the day before the weather got really cold. We love it at the park there by the river and the bridge. In the summer it is so nice. They have something called Friday after Five where there is free outdoor music to listen too at the amp theator. There are pretty fountains and a snack bar and an award winning childrens playground. The photos below that are from sometime in the summer. It's one of our favorite places to go.
These are my non look alike twin granddaughters when They were younger. One of my sons has two sets if twins, the older identical the younger , well as you can see not.....
I'd title the photo, "Sharing is Fun! They sure make it look that way don't you think?
Evensong
"God Speaks to Us in Bird and Song" ~ lyrics by Henry W. Davies
God speaks to us in bird and song,
In winds that drift the clouds along,
Above the din and toil of wrong,
A melody of love.
God speaks to us in far and near,
In peace of home and friends most dear,
From the dim past and present clear,
A melody of love.
God speaks to us in darkest night,
By quiet ways through mornings bright,
When shadows fall with evening light,
A melody of love.
O Voice divine, speak Thou to me,
Beyond the earth, beyond the sea,
First let me hear, then sing to Thee,
A melody of love.

What a day we have here. It got nice and springy for one week but winter had to return! It's 30F with dropping temperatures. Tonight is suppose to be 15 and tomorrow 28 with a zero windchill. We did get out a little here today but now we are staying home in the warmth, seems like the thing to do. Sometimes winter seems so long ! This was my entertainment looking out my window today. The cardinal was up in the tree looking at the squirrel like , "why are you in my birdfeeder?"
Prayers for all my brother and sisters in Ukraine and all the different places of this earth where there is suffering, So many are persecuted for their faith as well. Give them strength Lord and be the glory and the lifter of their heads. Grant them peace that goes beyond all human understanding for Your ways are not our ways Lord, nor are Your thoughts our thoughts. As Heaven is higher than the earth so are Your ways above ours and Your thoughts above ours. Like the sunflower raises it's face towards the sun may we all look to You in these troubled times. In the natural it may look dark but when the storms come You are forever with us. Help remind us that our lives are connected to something far greater than just ourselves.
Brighter days are coming.

Time With Our Grandson
I'm really quite tired tonight so I'm just doing this little picture blog.
The cat's name is Primrose and Oliver absolutely adores her.
We drove down to KY to watch Oliver today because his mommy and daddy had a meeting.
I took lots of photos but these were so sweet of him and Primrose.
Being a grandmother is a huge blessing that I thank God for.

In His Hands
I am God’s creation,
Born to seek his divine revelation
I am a pilgrim with a heavenly home,
A child of the King not an orphan alone.
I am a unique design ,
A work in progress, created to shine.
I am a jewel in the hand of my Father
Precious in God’s sight, His beloved daughter.
Wordly things may try to snatch me from His grace,
But heavenly arms support me, I am safe in this place.

The poem I wrote a few years ago.
Psalm 91:1,2 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him
Turtles
The turtles at Parkland's were sunning themselves this morning. I took a short walk because it was a little windy and only 38F earlier. It is 47 now which is nicer without so much wind.
I love nature, I am so ready for the beautiful wildflowers to blossom and the gentle green of the spring time leafs.
