Introduction: This reflection acts as my fourth reflection since I have started my internship at Comfort Dental under the Guidance of Dr. Trino Nuno. The semester is coming to an end, and I have enjoyed my time at Comfort Dental., I previously had a clinical and administrative internship at Smile Works Dentistry in Rockwall, Texas and I can now tell you that my experience at these two dental practices was incredibly different. At Smile Works, I quickly got used to the way the practice was run because

Before going into my reflective essay, it is important to first know what is reflective learning and journal writing. Reflective learning is the system of internally analysing and exploring a problem of concern, triggered by an experience, which creates and clarifies meaning in terms of self, and which ends up in a modified conceptual angle (Boyd and Fales, 1983). Journal writing on the other hand, is the recording of each day events, personal reflections, questions about the environment, and reactions
Reflective Practice Reflection means deliberately taking time to review the happenings of a certain matter and processing how that matter was handled, how it could have been better handled, and how it should be handled in the event that it happens again. This is a practice that I have made a part of my daily life. I reflect over my day on my twenty minute drive home. It allows me to process my day with a critical eye. Often, I feel that I could have handled things differently. There are also days
Final Self-Evaluation Although my journey within the Clinical Mental Health program at the University of Scranton has come to an end, however, my journey to become a licensed professional counselor is still underway. As I tie up loose ends by handing in time sheets and remaining assignments, I find myself in a reflective peaceful space. As I look back over the years that I have spent within the program perfecting my craft, I can’t help but think that I am truly blessed. It is one thing to choose
REFLECTIONS AND SYNTHESIS of COURSES and INTERNSHIP When reflecting on the individual courses, I had very little application and experience in the actual budgeting process. I learned the most NEW information in the finance class. I knew how to do a budget and understood basic functions of input and output and even some basic formulas. The qualitative functions of the budget were the most interesting and certainly explained many decisions made over the past many years in reference to building
many challenges that have presented to me in a wide variety of ways, some of which presented themselves based on my acts of poor judgment, and others I enacted on my own behalf. Throughout this period of time I have set many goals both academic and personal based on my challenges which have allowed me to stay focused and driven to be successful. Having an opportunity for personal reflection I have learned many things about myself and how I function, learn, and perform which as allowed me to grow mentally
Reflection The Walt Disney World Internship did not meet my expectations. I thought a horticulture internship would have put me more involved with the plants. I was disappointed to learn that much of the gardening is outsourced and the greenhouse is primarily for the topiaries. I would rather have worked in The Land or with the Lawn and Ornamental Team. I was an animal trapper before and so I really did not feel as if I was getting the full potential of the internship as a learning experience
Taking English classes first quarter and throughout high school has unearthed my deep-rooted passion and love for writing and reading. I am most excited for the opportunity to spread my knowledge and expertise to these young children about a language with such a powerful and complex history. Previously, I studied abroad in Santiago, Chile for two months. Participating in this abroad program reinforced and improved my adaptability in differing cultural and social environments. Given this experience
This paper will focus on what health care; social work is. It will also discuss my personal self-reflection on how I will prepare to work with individuals, families, and communities affected by disease, illness and public health issues. Lastly a brief self- appraisal of my skills will be processed along with my hope to assist individuals, families and communities in a healthcare context. To introduce what health care, social work, is it’s important to examine it from a historical standpoint. Due
