Ultimate Spider-Man (TV Series) Season 2 Review

While Spider-Man is my favorite super-hero, I have to admit; he's actually been outclassed a bit by some of the recent super-hero movies. The 90's cartoon is something I cherish, so I watched the first season of Ultimate Spider-Man. While I liked the first season, I thought Spider-Man being on a Avengers-ish team of teenage super-heroes lost a lot of focus.  Is the 2nd season better or worse?

Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme (2007 Film) Review

 While Doctor Strange is a very well respected Marvel hero, outside of the comics and a few cameos in TV shows I doubt many even know who he is. I knew of him, but didn't know much about the character outside of being able to cast magic. I heard of the animated film a few years ago but it never really interested me. Though I figure I'd give The Sorcerer Supreme a chance.

 As many of you know, Spider-Man is one of my favorite super-heroes. I had heard of the cartoon series that originally came out in 2012 based on the Ultimate Marvel comics version of Spider-Man, but never saw it until now. It features a teen-aged Peter Parker who is recruited by Nick Fury to join SHIELD in order to become a better super-hero.

 Like many of you know, I'm a huge fan of the Avengers-related movies. I thought the first Captain America was an excellent film, and he was personally my favorite of the Avengers. Everyone knows of Captain America's role in World War II, but his modern-day adventures and villains are not as famous as other superhero tales. Does a 21st Century Captain America hold up?

Last year when I was sick with the flu, I watched the first season of The Avengers cartoon. I liked it, but by the end it was getting a bit dull. Though I was willing to give the second season a try as I heard it was a bit better.

Thor: The Dark World (2013 Film) Review

 Even though I'm a big fan of Marvel, I never really knew much about Thor until the 2011 movie came out. I liked it, though I though it was tad disappointing that Thor was powerless for a good bit of the story. Now the 2nd film in Phase Two of the Avengers films, takes place soon after Thor takes Loki back to Asgard to be judged by their father Odin.  

The Wolverine (2013 Film) Review

 I've been a fan of the X-Men films since the original back in 2000. Thirteen years later we now have the latest movie featuring Wolverine. While the Origins movie was about Logan's past, this one is about his future after the events of The Last Stand.

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore (2013 Film) Review

 Unlike in earlier years, there have been quite a few excellent animated films based on comic book heroes. While I believe DC has gotten pretty awesome at it lately, Marvel can still make a decent movie. Though Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore is a little unique. The animation was actually done by a Japanese studio, which technically makes it an anime film.

Fantastic Four (2005 Film) Review

 When Fantastic Four came out in 2005, I wasn't terribly interested. I also had very little nostalgia for the team as I don't remember them having a cartoon in the 90's either. I heard some negative things about the movie, but I was rather curious to see it. Especially since Chris Evans (who's currently Captain America) is in it as Johnny Storm.

Next to Spider-Man, Captain America is my favorite Marvel super-hero. While looking for Daisy's new costume, I found his shield. I always wanted to be Captain America for Halloween but getting both the shield and the costume is a bit much. 

The Incredible Hulk (2008 Film) Review

While The Hulk is one of Marvel's most famous heroes, he's never really been one of my favorites. I've never disliked him, but prefered Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, and other super-heroes much more. I had seen all the films in the Avengers-related movies except for Hulk. I really liked Mark Ruffalo's portrayal as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the Avengers, but I was a little hesitant to see The Incredible Hulk as Banner is portrayed by another actor.

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006 Film) Review

 Along with the original Spider-Man film, the first two X-Men movies were one of the first super-hero silver-screen adventures I really enjoyed. In 2006 I ended up ignoring X-Men: The Last Stand as I heard of some of the events of the plot and some of them didn't settle right with me. I was hoping First Class was going to renew the story, but a new film called Days of Future Past is a sequel not only to First Class but The Last Stand as well. So I felt obligated to go ahead and watch the third movie.

Spider-Man: The Animated Series Season 2 Review

 As a kid I loved the Spider-Man cartoon that ran during the 1990s. I watched the original season for nostalgia and loved it almost as much as back in the day. In the end I still had the motivation to continue onward.

Iron Man 3 (2013 Film) Review

 Marvel's Avengers-related movies are some of my favorite films in recent memory. It all started with the original Iron Man film, and now Tony Stark is the first super-hero to get a new adventure after The Avengers. I actually really liked Iron Man 2 more than the original, so I was hoping the third film would be even better.

 While the original Spider-Man for Game Boy Color was very much like an 2D version of the Spider-Man game for PS1/N64/Dreamcast, the sequels for both games were radically different. While the PS1 sequel starred Electro, the Game Boy Color sequel featured an different plot featuring Spider-Man's old villainous team The Sinister Six.

 In 2000 Activision released the excellent Spider-Man game that was a big hit on the PS1, N64, and Dreamcast. But was lesser known was the version for Game Boy Color. While some places list as the same game, it's features unique levels and is in 2D.
