During the lockdown I have been able to progress my 2mm loft layout 'Copshawholm' and I enclose a few images which I hope you will find of interest.
The above view is the south end of the station and also shows the yard exit road. Aargh - that fence is glaring white!
The above shows the north ....
I suppose everyone is feeling a bit restricted during the current corona virus epidemic but at least it gives us extra time for modelling!
I am currently building a 2mm layout based upon the NBR Waverley route and I am posting a few pictures which show progress so far.
As you can see there is sti ....
Our March meeting was somewhat overshadowed by the coronavirus scare, however, five braved the journey to prepare and the now familiar task of loading the cars for our next exhibition appearance at the Abingdon amp; District MRC (ABRAIL) on Saturday 21 March. We have been experiencing a mysteriou ....
The Covid-19 Coronavirus lockdown has meant that we were unable to have our scheduled April meeting. The idea of looking back over the last twelve months of being 'on the road' with Lightermans Yard suggested a way of keeping our social presence. It so happens that we were showing off pretty regular ....
Geoff Hodson asked a question regarding ballasting and I answered in the comments section of his posting. Briefly it's artist water colour paper cut to size and laid between the Easitrac sleeper base in a bid to represent neglected track which has been almost buried by 'muck'- equally it could be us ....
In these difficult and extraordinary times Mick has cast the net for contributors to this blog wider than usual (Thanks Mick). That explains why I, a southern interloper, am writing about my current projects. It's not all bad though because, despite my modelling being focussed on the Cheshire Lines ....
Hello again all, and hoping everyone is well and keeping safe in these unusual times!
It certainly has been a while since I was on here, and having just had an e-mail from Mick offering to reinstate me I have jumped at the chance. Mind, I needed Mick's help to remind me how to get a posting done!

I noticed this morning that one of the chassis was not sitting quite square under the mineral wagon body, so I decided to split the two and re-attach in the (hopefully) correct position.
To keep my attention span going, I had just made a fresh cup of coffee, which was sitting near the edge of the ta ....
Although our meetings are cancelled due to the current situation, Roy has been working away on his own making some changes to the sidings on Dunallander. Originally there were 6 sidings which were straight and parallel. They have now been reduced to an authentic 4 sidings following the red ....
Hi All,
In the spirit of keeping in touch, I thought I would update you with what I've been working on during the lockdown (apart from actual work, that is!). I decided to have a go at scratchbuilding a Highland Railway 0-6-0T 'scrap tank' to work my DJLC layout. This would never have bee ....
As a change from gardening, I've been catching up on building wagon kits, some of which I have had in store for some time, others newly purchased - Shop 2 is too handy now!
Completed are a further eight 16-ton mineral wagons, 4 DSI-braked with bottom doors, 2 with Morton 4-shoe brakes and no bottom ....
Hi everyone,
As this is my first blog I am just experimenting by enclosing a picture of one of my locos posed on my previous layout. This is a 2mm scratch built loco but is a bit of a cheat. As I could not get sufficient adhesion on the Atlantic's driving wheels it is pushed along by a motorised co ....
Nice to see others posting here. Thanks Geoff, I'll just put this quickie update on before you post some more.
Here is just one photograph of the class 31 recently weathered and, as you can see, it's now Thornaby based 31 283. Weathered, except for the windows that is - compare with the last pictur ....
Having invited others to post on here I ought to lead the way; so here goes with my second sound fit, of a 2FS locomotive, a Farish class 31. Of course the conversion is straightforward for getting the model to run on 2FS track. It is a case of either turning the wheels yourself or sending off to th ....
Because of the current situation regarding 'Coronavirus' our group meetings are suspended. Group members are invited to post modelling activity to this blog.
If you would like to put something on here just get in touch by the normal means.
Keep safe everyone.

March 2020: Annual editing of the feed list threw up a few dead blogs, so
they've been removed from the auto-checker (which has also fixed the page
load speed - it was waiting for these dead blogs to not answer). If you've

fail to appear above, please get in touch with the webmaster.

Sites list is edited fairly regularly, and those without new entries in
