Department of Architecture

The need for shelter is one of the most fundamental requirements of existence. From before the time of the first pyramids and pagodas, architecture has played an integral part in the minds, spirits and lives of human civilization. Many societies have been remembered and understood solely on the basis of the structures they have left behind; for the dwellings that men make are the most enduring markers and reflections of their creators. Even today buildings reflect the character of their designers as well as that of their occupants. Whether it is a humble residential dwelling or a grand public edifice, few things affect the quality of our daily lives as deeply as the work of the architect.

The Architecture Department has started its journey in spring 2009 semester. From the very first day it has maintained the quality of education.

The architecture program at the Primeasia University with strong philosophical grounding pivots on local tradition, culture, Building materials and modern means. It presents a great expectation and promise, harnesses learning and responds to the social and professional needs by aiming to produce a brand of thinkers and makers. The program stresses the theoretical, historical, cultural, creative, disciplinary and intellectual forces shaping the work and researchers of the contemporary building profession. It negotiates alteration of the social, cultural and economic landscape that describes the dimensions of the imaginary.

The Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering offers degree in Architecture. The undergraduate program of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is of five years duration. The academic program is of trimester system, that is, there are 15 terms over 5-years program.. There are 21optional courses to choose from different terms to major in particular streams to suit the need, demand, taste, aptitude and interest of each student as well as the Market.
