H.G. (L. L.) Geevarghese Mar Philoxenose Thirumeni, Metropolitan of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church founded the school in 1948. The school is a Government Aided Educational Institution having minority rights. It is a member of the Catholicate and M.D Schools Corporate Management of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
The school was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School on the 1st of August 2000 by the Govt.of Kerala with two Science batches and one Commerce batch with 50 students in each batch.
