The Girl is needlessly trashy, super melodramatic and, worst of all, dull. Toby Jones still manages to shine, though.

Maybe it's because I admire Hitchcock and his work too much, but I'm hating how revoltingly gross he's portrayed in The Girl

I'm 20 minutes into The Girl and while it isn't blowing my socks off, Toby Jones' Hitchcock voice is spot on.
