Our community of global health colleagues is always on the lookout for news, events, funding opportunities and generally cool things relevant to global health at UW-Madison. You can find those postings in the list below. If you have others you would like to display here, please send them to Jake Moskol.
Building on themes presented in the 2009 Reaccreditation Project , the UW-Madison campus launched a new Global Health Initiative (GHI) to confront large, complex, global health problems through multidisciplinary collaborative efforts in research, education, and service learning, with a special emphasis on furthering global health research. The GHI seeks to promote new partnerships campus-wide that foster collaborative work across all disciplines, including the arts, humanities, and social studies, as well as the health sciences. Under the leadership of co-chairs Jeanette Roberts (Dean, School of Pharmacy), and Jeremi Suri (Professor of History), members of the GHI are working collaboratively to develop new solutions and programs with a thematic focus of “Understanding Root Causes, Anticipating Emerging Problems, and Innovating New Solutions”.
