Tax cuts increase tax revenue. Tax revenues increased by more than 60 percent during the 1960s, after President John F. Kennedy lowered tax rates. President Ronald Reagan’s tax cuts generated a more than 50 percent increase in tax revenues during the 1980s. This is contrary to liberal beliefs, because the facts do not support their redistributionist ideology. Atlas Shrugged Trailer
Via the Atlas Shrugged Movie site: Ask yourself: What would happen, if our producers disappear - Steve Jobs, Sergey Brin and other industrialists fall off the radar, their companies shuttered and their creative genius no longer powering America? The answer lies in Atlas Shrugged Part I. For the millions around the world who have read Rand's books, for those curious about her controversial philosophy, and for the uninitiated, and skeptical - the film, which only covers the first third of the book, is an opportunity to a faithful adaptation. Rand's unique literary genius - which we hop...
Freshman Lawmakers Make the Case for Government Spending Cuts
As Congress begins to debate spending cuts, freshman lawmakers have been very vocal in their support for strong leadership and smart cuts on the path back to fiscal sanity in Washington. Heritage Foundation sat down with several freshmen in Congress to get their opinion of the proposed cuts:
Nadin Khoury: The Courage To Stand Up
Via Rick Reilly at ESPN: A 13-year-old boy named Nadin Khoury told about how he'd been attacked by seven bigger schoolmates, kicked, beaten, dragged through the snow, stuffed into a tree, and hung on a 7-foot spiked fence, all while adults watched. The boy was only 5-foot-2, but he'd made up his mind to stand tall no matter how much of his pride bled out. As the brutal video played on a screen behind him, his collar stayed buttoned, his spine straight, but his bottom lip quivered. "Next time maybe it could be somebody smaller than me," he said, loud and clear, like the Marine he wants ...
A Trillion Here, A Trillion There. Pretty Soon Your Talking About No Money
$1,600,000,000,000.00 There you go. And no ... that's not Obama's new budget. That's Obama's projection for the budget DEFICIT this year! That's money we don't have. That's money we're going to have to borrow. That's money our children and grandchildren are going to have to pay back. Or ... .that's debt our country will eventually try to discharge in bankruptcy. Let me try to put that $1.6 trillion in perspective. We're going on a spending spree. Let's see ..... how much do we want to spend an hour? Does $100,000 an hour work for you? $100,000 an hour 24 hours a day 365 days a...
A Day In the Park by Rob Foster
"The Answer to 1984 is 1776 Contest" -- official entry. To help counter government media propaganda assaulting the American people on all levels. It is designed to keep the Web free and resist Big Brother and Big Sis. It is a delivery vehicle for the message of liberty. Drawn & voiced by Rob Foster. Assembled and animated in iMovie, with no specialized animation software used. This is my first attempt at animation on this level, so please be kind. Whether you agree or not, I hope this will entice you to ponder the future of our great country, and just how much can be l...
Nina Explains: The Situation in Egypt
By Jove, she's got it. I do believe she's got it. Nina, after seeing a picture of demonstrations in Egypt in the newspaper, discusses the situation with Mama in Japanese, and then later describes the situation to in English. HT: WestSound Modern who notes, "Obviously not a product of the public school system."
Celebrating Reagan's 100th Birthday
As we commemorate the 100th birthday of our 40th President this Sunday, RIGHTNETWORK proudly presents some memories and videos on the great Ronald Reagan. Our own Chris Burgard shares some personal memories of meeting Reagan at Big Peace: The first time that I met President Reagan we talked about horse’s butts. The grace of the polo game and the quiet beauty of Will Rogers Park seemed to freeze us in time. We discussed the pros and cons of trying to play polo on a Quarter Horse rather than the preferred Thoroughbred. It was a few weeks until I saw the President ...
Patton and the "Modern World"
"I want you to remember that this War on Terror, as well as our presence in the Middle East, is necessary and inevitable. To those who can’t understand that, they need to spend more time on the History Channel and less time in the Goddamn chat rooms." Mike Kaminski wrote and acted this brilliant variation on George C. Scott's signature role. Full Text: At ease. I want you to remember that this War on Terror, as well as our presence in the Middle East, is necessary and inevitable. Jimmy McMillan Is Coming For Barack Obama
In a world where Joy Behar, Tyra Banks, Ed Schultz and 86% of all known liberals have their own TV show, somebody needs to give this man a job! He may occasionally reference his karate expertise, but he also occasionally makes sense and is nothing if not entertaining. Jimmy 'Rent Is Too D*mn High' McMillan recently gave an interview to AOL News in which he discusses both Sarah Palin and Barack Obama. His opinions may surprise, and probably confuse you: What do you think of Sarah Palin? Would you consider her for VP? Love her. Constitution. American citizen. Exercising the right to priv...
What Government Censorship of a People Looks Like
Via Mashable: A scientist at the network security company Arbor Networks has used data from 80 Internet service providers around the world to create an image of the Egyptian Internet block.... Craig Labovitz, the creator of the graphic and chief scientist at Arbor Networks, says that he found no evidence of Internet disruption in Syria, debunking a report from Al Arabiya earlier Friday that suggested all service in Syria had been cut off.
Weekend Sounds: Aloe Blacc "Politician"
Here is Aloe Blacc expressing some sentiments we can all agree with from time to time. Dont miss his rendition of "America The Beautiful" at the 3:15 mark:
Hoo-Ray! for Bollywood: Greatest Action Sequence in History
Rated RSV for "Really Silly Violence" The Plot (as if it mattered): We have two Rajnis’ (as if one was not enough) in the film. While there is a scientist Vaseegaran, who’s researching and building a complex robotic machine, the other is robot Chitti (also Rajini) a unique character who has the traits of a spiderman, master-chef, and an ace-choreographer. We then have the bad daddy played by Danny, who is the senior of Vaseegaran. Aishwarya Rai plays Sana, a cute girl, who somehow or the other always manages to trap herself into a mess, only to get save...
Mocking The New York Times
While the right has long held a monopoly on mocking the Grey Lady, RIGHTNETWORK has noticed a recent trend which we've expertly coined: "New York Liberals Making Fun of New York Liberals". And why not, it's such fertile ground. We've assembled our favorites below so you don't have to waste your time googling grey ladies. The first is NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams fake praising the Times for its discovery of Brooklyn, where "young men and women wear ironic glasses frames on the streets and there are open air markets like trading posts of the early Chippewa tribe": ...
RIP Jack LaLanne
Via ESPN: Jack LaLanne, the fitness guru who inspired television viewers to trim down, eat well and pump iron for decades before diet and exercise became a national obsession, died Sunday. He was 96.... He maintained a youthful physique and joked in 2006 that "I can't afford to die. It would wreck my image." "He was amazing," said 87-year-old former "Price is Right" host Bob Barker, who credited LaLanne's encouragement with helping him to start exercising often. "He never lost enthusiasm for life and physical fitness," Barker said Sunday. "I saw him in about 2007 and he still looked r...

The Obama Robber Strikes Again
"Austrian authorities are searching for a bank robber who uses an unusual disguise: He wears a Barack Obama mask during his holdups. Police say the man, nicknamed the "Obama Robber" by local media, is wanted for six heists since 2008. The most recent took place Thursday in the hamlet of Handenberg, where the Obama-resembling suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money after threatening bank employees with a gun."
Ron Swanson's "Pyramid of Greatness"
Last night marked the return of Leslie Knope and her dedicated crew to the Department of Parks & Recreation in glorious Pawnee, Indiana. Due to massive budget cuts at the state level (sound familiar?) the department was forced to shut down and take a few months off. When the staff does return to work, the budget will only allow them to function in maintenance mode. No programs, well except for youth basketball (a sacred cow in Indiana) are permitted to continue. This is where Ron Swanson and his pyramid come in... Some of our favorites: CURSING - There's only one ...
Wanda Jackson & Jack White Cover Latter Day Dylan
"The Queen of Rockabilly covering possibly the greatest singer-songwriter ever alongside one of today's most prolific artists, is a pretty easy sell. That said, Wanda Jackson and Jack White's new version of Bob Dylan's 'Thunder on the Mountain' is even better than it sounds on paper. As Jackson tells Spinner, the decision to cover this track was easy -- it was Dylan's idea. "Jack wanted me to do a Bob song," Jackson tells Spinner. "They're longstanding friends and Bob suggested 'Thunder on the Mountain.'"
