Mondovino, faced down an acrobatic dog perfomance in Emir Kusturica�s film Life is a Miracle in 2004. What carried the day with the jury was the collective impact of dogs in a variety of vineyard settings in this woldwide tour of wine regions. Singled out for particular praise were the dogs of the world�s top wine expert, Robert Parker, whose nose for the best vintage was not put off by the spectacular flatulence of his bulldogs, Edgar and Hoover.

"No greater award for man or dog has ever been known" cried Nossiter, as in a fit of excitement he strapped the collar to his leg on behalf of his canine dog stars.
