How amusing, someone just emailed me a message of abuse from an anonymous remailer.
Cowardice is so hip, you know.

This article describes an attack by a squirrel on some people in Germany which is finally beaten to death by an elderly man with a crutch. What is the world coming to when it takes three Germans to kill a squirrel?

Jeff at Protein Wisdom writes about another example of the partisan bias of our news media - The Associated Press writes about a DUI arrest of the Speaker of the State Senate in Minnesota but does not bother to mention that he is a DFL Democrat. Actually, Jeff's research shows that the AP actually edited out the reference to his party.

Here is an interesting story of how a concealed weapon permit holder intervened in a bank robbery where the bank robber killed two bank tellers and wounded two more. Notice that in the story, there is no fantasy shootout between the armed citizen and the bank robber as opponents of "shall issue" permits like to pretend that concealed permit holders dream of. Rather, the armed citizen notified police, took a position out the bank and aided responding officers to contain the murderous bank robber. Admirable work.

Given his recent book of evasions and inventions, its becoming more clear that President George W. Bush's greatest errors was not firing Clinton-admin holdover CIA Director George Tenet. All the more dispicable since Bush has gone out of his way not to scapegoat him despite the obvious actions by the CIA to undercut Bush administration policy.

Looks like it is time to cease watching any NBC TV local affiliate, NBC network program or any cable channel owned by NBC. At least, after NBC's despicable pandering to a dead mass murderer, that's my plan.

After the Supreme Court upheld the Federal ban on partial birth abortion, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid stated that he wished that Sandra Day O'Connor was still on the court so that the decision would have gone against the ban.
Of course, the fact that Harry Reid actually voted FOR the legislation does not seem to slow him down at all. Nothing better summarizes the modern Democratic Party.

We saw 300 this evening on an IMAX screen. That was an experience not to be missed. ( And by the way, for a Monday evening, at a thirteen dollar entry, every seat was sold for every show )
When the Spartans are told that the Persian army is so large that the arrows of its archers will blot out the sun, the response "then we will fight in the shade" puts shivers up one's spine.

I was disappointed to see Libby convicted on Fitzgerald's ludicrous indictment and frankly inappropriate closing argument where Fitzgerald made several references in closing that the judge should not have permitted. But Libby has never been of much interest to me.With respect to Joe Wilson, who seems to think that a trial that had nothing to do with him somehow was vindication, Jeff Goldstein basically sums it up better than anyone.

To the car enthusiast, Carroll Shelby's version of the AC Cobra is simply a legend. Today, on the Barrett-Jackson's car auction, Carroll Shelby's personal 1966 Cobra with an 800 hp 427 sold for FIVE MILLION DOLLARS, setting a new record for the most expensive automobile ever sold.Carroll Shelby on the stage as it was beginning bidding stated that he had been stopped in it in Nevada for doing 190 MPH. He also said he killed a buzzard in it once. And for anyone but Carroll Shelby, its a story I wouldn't believe. The enthusiasm in the audience for the vehicle was an immense tribute to a legend in automobile manufacturing industry.

From Instapundit, we see this article on an "anti-war" rally in Canada that once again shows that the Left is not "anti-war", but rather they are on the side of our enemies.

I have wanted to say something about how much I despise John Kerry. About how his most recent comments reminded me of just how lucky this nation was, to escape the disaster that a John Kerry presidency would be.Austin Bay does a better job that I'd be capable of. 11/06/06: And Victor Davis Hanson weighs in as well.

If you have been watching the coverage of the recent Israel/Hizbullah conflict, you should not miss this thorough debunking of one example of the fraudulent news stories that have been made slandering Israel's conduct of the war. There has been other examples, such as the Reuters' "freelancer" who was caught photoshopping images of the war, and staging shots of purported victims of the conflict. The media has been repeating these hoaxes without any question throughout the last month. The media has by and large ignored the debunking of their fraudulent coverage and certainly not taken responsibility for repeating terrorist propaganda and lies uncritically.
