Adding the email that was sent today with the results of the board’s vote on the ethics complaint to the thread:

I am writing to inform you that, after reviewing the complaints filed against you for violating RWA’s Member Code of Ethics, the Ethics Committee submitted a report with their findings and recommendations. The report is attached to this email.
The Board reviewed the report from the Ethics Committee and accepted their findings. The following is included in the December 17, 2019 Minutes from the meeting.

Suede moved to accept the findings of the Ethics Committee on the ethics complaints against Courtney Milan.

Motion was adopted by roll call vote with 10 ayes, 5 nays, and 1 abstentions.

Suede recommended the following penalties against Courtney Milan.
a. Be suspended from RWA membership for one year
b. Receive a lifetime ban on holding any position of leadership

on the RWA National Board, or on a RWA Chapter Board. Motion was adopted by roll call vote with 12 ayes, 2 nays, and 2 abstentions.
Regarding an appeal to this decision, RWA’s PPM 6.6.4.4.6. states: On the basis of newly discovered exonerating evidence, the accused shall have the right to appeal the Board’s decision within ten (10) days thereafter.
