Dude. Just...whoa. Tearjerker? Not for me personally but it's not a stretch to see why lots of people needed a tissue box or ten. Do I want to break out my collection of dull, rusty spoons and go use them on Uncle Rusty? Oh, so very, very tempting.

Anyone who reads Torchwood fanfic, expect a surge in the number of Mary Sue, Daughter of Captain Jack fics. If you watched the Declassified, you probably caught Uncle Rusty's remark that Jack has lots and lots of kids out there, and my Mary Sue Advance Warning System went off almost immediately. More red flags than a Soviet airport, to quote a s2 epi of Alias.

On a lighter note, did anyone recognize Mr. Yates? ;p

Summary: An object from the rift threatens to turn a member of the teams deepest desire into reality.

This was a random idea that came to me this morning.

An uneventful day was yet to turn into a complete disaster for the team , with the exception of one -whose dream was about to come true.

The rift was quiet, it was the calm before the storm. It would turn everyone’s life around. Not in a good way. Reality would be twisted and merged with one dream and several peoples idea of hell.

“Ianto…” Shouted Jack.

“Yes .” Replied Ianto who had just walked into Jacks office. It still surprised Jack that Ianto always seemed to appear when he needed something.

“Could you bring up that object that fell through the rift last month, please.”

“Could you be a bit more specific Sir. Many objects fell through the rift last month”

“How many times have I asked for you to stop calling me that.”

“In the last week or month?”

“Don’t be smart. Anyway it was the object that looked really blue and shiny.”

“Ok” replied Ianto and as he was walking away he muttered under his breath “Great ,I‘m work in underground base for an alien hunting organisation and I’m looking for a shiny blue object, perfect.”

The object was retrieved from the archives and laid upon Jacks desk.

A while later Gwen wondered in looking for Jack and was drawn to the object. She felt as if it was calling out to her , it felt a presence in her mind as if it was searching for her deepest desire .She walked closer to it and picked it up, forgetting the first thing she was ever told - don’t pick up or touch any alien tech that you don’t know what it is or does.

The shiny blue object opened and spoke to her , in a voice identical to Jacks “I have found your deepest desire do you really wish it true.”

Without thinking about others or the consequences she replied “Yes”
