NaNoWriMo Day 1

Nanowrimo has started. He I've gotten more than I thought I would done. Knowing that i'm sorta ahead of myself will most likely grant me to be lazier later on heh.

2399 / 50000 words. 5% done!

Anyway, for NANAWriMo I've decided to do a Prince of Tennis Vampire AU fic... Mostly because the Idea has been kicking me in the head...and well I'm going to be playing with the main pairing of Choutarou Davide X3 along with a bunch of other pairings...

So here be an unfinished scene or two from the fic thus far since I'm not even attempting to write it in order cause that'll slow me down. heh I just like showing things off X3

Oshitari trying to pursuade Gakutoto switch sides

Yagyuu had gone for the night, leaving Gakuto all alone in the small apartment that they shared. The apartment seemed a lot bigger when it was him by himself and definitely a lot more quiet. It was a bit scary. Since he'd become a junior slayer, Yagyuu had always been somewhere close by and near him. But not now. Yagyuu was out who knows what.

He jumped when he heard a noise outside. He inched over to the window and took a peak out. He didn't see anything strange. He grabbed a silver dagger and went to the door. He prayed for a moment to himself that there was no one on the other side or that it was just Yagyuu trying to scare him. But Yagyuu wouldn't do that. Right? Yagyuu was a gentleman. He wouldn't purposely try to scare him.

He opened the door slowly and took a look around. "Hello?" He called out. He looked around for a moment or two and found nothing. He went back inside. Weird. He thought as he shut the door. When he turned around, he jumped when he saw Oshitari standing in front of him. He cursed himself for unknowingly letting the vampire in that first time. He quickly got in position to use his moon salute.

Oshitari laughed and raised his hand. "That's not necessary." he said. "I'm not going to hurt you." He was telling the truth, though the junior slayer probably wasn't going to believe him. The redhead interested him. He had other plans for the teen.

"How do I know that?" Gakuto asked. He was still in his attack stance. He wasn't dropping his guard.

"Well for one, you'd already be dead if I wanted to kill you." Oshitari answered. He pushed up his glasses. "I've got something better for you though. I heard from someone that you want to be able to fly."

Gakuto lowered his hands. "How do you know that?" No one knew that about him.

"Become one of us. You'll be a lot closer to your dream if you do." Oshitari said with a smile.

Gakuto stood there confused. "But..." His sentence was interrupted at the sound of the door being opened.

"Mukahi-kun?"

He turned to see Yagyuu entering. He then looked back in the direction of the vampire. Oshitari was gone. He stood there silently, trying to think of what had just happened.

"Mukahi-kun, are you alright?" Yagyuu asked when Gakuto didn't answer him.

Gakuto looked back at Yagyuu. "Yeah, I'm fine." He lied. He wasn't about to tell the other that a vampire had just been in they're home. What Yagyuu didn't know wouldn't hurt anything right? At least he hoped so.

Choutarou thinking of how he should explain Davide staying with him to his superiors

Choutarou woke up confused on his couch. How had he gotten there? Usually he slept in his own room. It took him a few seconds to recall everything that had happened the night before. Oh yeah. He'd saved someone the night before, and that someone was probably still asleep in his room. Quietly he got up and walked towards his room to check on Davide or to at least see if the other was still there.

He opened the bedroom door as quietly as possible, cringing at the small creaking sound that the door made. He smiled when he noticed the other's sleeping form. Davide was tangled in a mess of sheets and blankets, some of which were thrown to the floor. The redhead looked peaceful lying there asleep as if he hadn't gotten a good night's rest in a while. Well Davide had said that he didn't have a home to go to. So it probably was the first time in a while that he had had a nice comfortable warm bed to sleep in. Choutarou shut the door after checking on the other male and headed straight to the kitchen to make breakfast. He was sure that the other would be hungry when he woke.

As he prepared breakfast, he thought of how he was going to explain Davide to his superiors. They'd be angry at him for sure. Davide shouldn't have even been in the small house. He'd definitely get scolded for it. But what was he to do? Was he supposed to just leave the other male alone? Wasn't it his job to help others in danger of being harmed by vampires? He'd just taken helping a step further and invited the other into his home.

Maybe he wouldn't tell them. It would be best for him if he didn't. What his superiors didn't know would hurt him. It wasn't like Davide was a risk or anything. The other wouldn't be in his way. He promised to stay out of it. The other even wanted to help him, which was a lot more than his own partner would do. Inui just ignored his existence for the most part, wanted nothing to do with him. Choutarou didn't understand why. He sighed. No he wouldn't tell them. He'd let them find out on their own and cross that bridge when he came to it.
