Abortion? wrong. lol, i guess i should explain, eh? youre killing a helpless baby (sure, it isnt born yet, but its still a baby!! and has a right to live) just because you were stupid enough to get pregnant in the first place doesnt mean that it (he/she, w.e) should pay the price. sure, people always throw in that if a woman got raped and had a child, they would have an abortion instead of raising the child that brings back the awful memory of that, but what about adoption?! give the kid to a loving family, not have him/her killed.

Pollution? will probably end up killing us all.

Homosexual marriage? sure, why not? its not going to do anything to anybody, who cares who someone marries? you can marry your brother in other countries, why is it that america thinks that people of the same gender cant get married? pfft

Pollution? its a problem. i like in phoenix for christ sake. its a big vally with dust and smog everywhere. its terrible, and people should think before they get into a car to drive 5 mins, when they could walk, and save the enviroment or something.

Okay. So there's this prevalent attitude lately, on livejournal and beyond, that there is some sort of special set of requirements for being "uncool". Because "geek" is the new "cool". So, the whole concept of being geeky, uncool, dorky, whatever is to have deviated from the social norm in a (generally speaking) undesirable manner, right? If being geeky is the new ideal, however, then those of us who don't fit the mold (don't know any/enough obscure emo bands, never learned how to knit) suddenly become, in effect, the uncool.

Countless times I've heard some scenester elitist talk about how they were into a band or a hairstyle or an author before it was cool to be into it, berating the general population for buying in as soon as whatever concept happens to be of the moment hits the mass media, at which point said scenesters will automatically discard it for something more obscure and ultimately hip. This type of indie rock Pete mentality (that's right, obscure online comic strip reference, look at me go) ultimately derails any sense of individuality or personal taste, instead seeking out personal expression through sheer novelty and the exclusion of others.
I don't give a fuck if you were wearing stripey tights under fishnets before it was "cool" to wear stripey tights under fishnets.
Fuck the scene. Fuck lame poseur attitudes. Fuck image.

What is your favorite book? you probably haven't heard of it, the Titus trilogy by Mervyn Peake is my all-time favourite book I've loved since I was wee, but I love lots of books.

Your five favorite bands/artists? I like ANY random thing really. I like a few modern bands but mainly I like 60s music. I like a lot of classical music, opera and chillout type music because it's good when for I'm writing. I write a lot.
If you could go anywhere you want, where would it be? aaaargh that question is frying my brain. There are so many places. I'd want to see the whole world and travel to the edge of the galaxy. And the very bottom of the ocean where no one's been. Pretty much everywhere =D
Do you like anime? If so, which ones? I've never seen it before, I've only ever seen posters and graphics. I can see why people are so fascinated with the art, it's really colourful and groovy lookin. Actually, I've seen 'Spirited Away', which is a truly amazing film.

Abortion? I don't think abortion is a simple black and white thing, but I'm pretty much pro-choice. It depends upon the question of what's better, a deprived, unhappy life , or none at all? I also think that you have to remember , a tiny undeveloped foetus that's hardly even developed a brain yet isn't conscious, it's not going to care if you suck it out of the womb, it's never going to know it could've been a human being. Anyway, all it is is potential human being, so if we're going to say abortion is wrong on that grounds we should also say that contraception is wrong because we are preventing the creation of a potential human being.
I could get into a stupidly long debate about this.

Pollution? what do you expect my feelings are on pollution? ? We're heading down the slow, inevitable path to the destruction of ourselves and our entire habitat, go us!

Homosexual marriage? I think that because I'm gay I'm meant to be all opinionated on it, but I'm not to be honest. I don't really believe in marriage since it's just something invented by the state, but it's the states duty to give us all equal rights, so I definately think it should be legal simply because of the principle. Anyway I don't frankly care what the government say, they're all wankers.
