I've decided on a "nuclear work-finding combo"

A couple of people over in the forums cited a combination of Road Opener + Steady Work as the best blend to find a good job.

Since I need a good job, and want my prosperity to come from that job (g), I'm going to try this and add in a third oil: Determination. I figure it will keep my nose to the grindestone looking for those open roads that lead to my dream job!

I will report back and let you know - but I have a good feeling about this!

Is TAL still open?

Question for those in the know...is TAL still open for ordering? The website is rather vague and I did send an email to the address listed for Paypal payments, but as of yet no reply (not surprising since it's a holiday weekend).

If they are still open, what seems to be the standard turn around on their delivery time in the US?

I need to order some oils geared toward finding another job. Granted I have a full time one now, but events over the last week--including 3 of my coworkers being taken to the hospital and 4 needing oxygen from 'something' in the building---which my company is denying has anything wrong with it--are making it pretty darn clear I need to find some place healthier (I have health issues as well and shudder to think what would have happened to me if 'healthy' people got that sick). Suggestions?

Newbie! :3

Hi all! I'm a newb to TALs (just spent most of the day with my head spinning all the different, wonderful blends that I'll probably end up hoarding someday) and I had a question for ya'll... I hope this is an OK place to ask!!

Do you find a difference in the efficiency of oil that's been decanted to imps versus one that is fresh in the bottle from the Lab? I'm considering trolling the forum for some imps of oils that I'm not-quite-sure-I-ABSOLUTELY-MUST-HAVE, but I'm concerned that being in someone else's hands first for the decanting process would somehow taint the oil's energies. Anyone have input on imps vs. bottles?

Thanks!! :D

I stumbled on you here and I am intrigued. I have a few questions though.

Where could I go to learn more of uses specific to TAL oils.

I was wondering if there is a sample pack available so that you can try more variety to find which ones work for you the best.

Also what would you deem to be the major difference between Blockbuster and Road Opener? I have specific goals in mind, I have checked the memories and haven't found an answer. (Edit: Found one compare and contrast in tags but still interested in your opinions)

Also is there an abbreviation reference anywhere? (ie what is an imp)

Thank you in advance.

Those of you who've actually bought TAL oils before, I'm wondering; are they just fragrance oils, or do they actually contain roots and minerals in them? (Like for example, traditonal Magnet oil should have a real magnet in it. Obviously, you can't extract fragrance from a magnet, so the real thing must be used.)

Just curious.

Buying land?

My fiance and I are looking at buying some land. Are there any TALs to help with something in this general sort of sense?

To elaborate, we are looking for acreage (10+) for around a certain amount of money, around a certain area (Well, kinda. No more than an hour away from where we currently live.) However, everything we find for our price range is about 5 hours away, in an area we'd rather not live. Here, it's pretty hard to find a decent amount of acreage for what we are willing to pay.

Should I look for a TAL that might send more money my way, which might up the amount we could pay? Or is there a TAL that might help us find the "perfect" land? Or... any suggestions whatsoever?

TALs for pets?

Anyone ever use TALs in rituals involving their pets?

I know not to put any oils directly on the pet and I know TALs do not substitute for veterinary care.

I want to do a blessing/strength/protection ritual for my kitty when the moon is in the right phase. She's a Leo, so I was thinking Sol on a yellow candle. Would, for instance, Aegis work for a cat as it would a human? (applied to a candle or picture).

Also, has anyone used Bastet (the BPAL) or Bastet's Laughter for rituals involving cats? I know Bastet's Laughter is more a house blessing type oil but Bast does rule cats, after all.

Reviews, Opinions?

Hello everyone. I'm thinking about buying some TAL oils, and am curious to hear from some others who've tried any of the following:

Fiery Wall of Protection
Block Buster
Perpetuum Bonum
Foundation of Fortune
Cleo May (I'm especially curious to hear *how* this was used -- I understand it's traditionally a lust/money-drawing combo but here it is advertised like a quick-lust formula.)
King Solomon's

Thanks! They're a little pricey so I have to pick and choose which ones to buy, but you know how it is -- a condition oil that works well can more than make up its worth in a very short time.

EDIT: I came across the BPAL forums which did help some in giving experiences with the oils. Based on what I read, Foundation of Fortune and Block Buster seemed to have the most favorable reports... thoughts?

Nocturne. WORKS.

I just want to say that as far as I'm concerned, Nocturne has wrought a miracle. (Nocturne, btw, is on the "Unreleased but Available" list.)

I've always struggled with insomnia, and over the past couple of years it has been REALLY bad. I was pretty much at the end of my rope; sleeping pills are not good to take regularly, and anyway don't induce the kind of deep restful natural sleep one needs.

So, as I said, I was at the end of my rope, and ordered Nocturne. I use it as directed - a dab on the feet, wrists, temples, third eye and throat chakras. While I'm dabbing, I ask for restful sleep and sweet dreams. The smell, incidentally, is very very rosy.

And it works! No more waking up in the middle of the night, tossing and turning. Can't say that all the weird dreams have gone away, but I know that's stress-related; and they have lessened in frequency and awfulness.

I've passed decants of Nocturne along to sleepless friends and they, too, have slept soundly and well.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nocturne. Thank you so much, Beth and Labbies! Finally, FINALLY, good sleep!

I notice there's a review of LaFlamme on bpal.org, but the perfume oil isn't listed on the TAL website. Is it available at the website anyway and the site just hasn't been updated with new scents, or am I out of luck and will have to make an ISO post soon?

To cut a long story short, I returned some defective goods to a company and they are supposed to refund me my money. I sent out the goods with tracking and they claimed they have not received it. I just found out they have already received it a long time ago. I dunno if they dont want to refund me my money or are just out to cheat me. It's a lot of money. About 100+ dollars. I really want my money back. What oil can I use? Im getting very desperate and upset. I dont know what else to do. :(

Three more TALs that worked out rather well for me

Last week or so, I posted an ISO in sinandsalvation for La Flamme, because (a) I love the smell, and (b) it made the boyf absurdly passionate. For, like, 18 hours. I really want TAL to start making it in gallon jugs.

On Tuesday of this week, I went to interview for a summer job. Knowing that most of the money oils aren't made for skin wear, I daubed my conjure bag (mojo hand, nation sack, gris-gris, whatever) with Wealthy Business and Gainful Employment, and slipped it discreetly into my suit pocket. (I love the label that decantmonkey made for Wealthy Business -- a color photo of a city skyline. Perfect.) For skin wear, I used Charisma -- which is also what I wear to give poetry readings!

Result: Hired as a contractor within 30 minutes of walking in the door, with boss thinking I possibly qualify for an even better job at the same company.

TAL, I love you.
So many love potions, so little time...so much confusion

There seem to be a LOT of love oils out there, specifically on the TAL website.

Amor...Blinding Glory of Love...Dixie Love Perfume...how to choose? It sounds like they work in subtly different ways, but are close enough to make it difficult for me to choose between them.

I'm thinking of getting some imps off a forum and trying out the different ones, as I'd rather drop $25 on something I know I will use (and I just cannot spare 100 clams just for love oils right now). So, for the record: I'm single, straight female-type creature with no particular love interest in mind (though I do have requirements - no criminal record, gotta like cats, be gainfully employed, picky-pants stuff like that *g*). And Amor, Blinding Glory of Love, Dixie Love Perfume, AND Queen of the Nile all seem more or less appropriate.

Those who have worked with the love oils, can you give me some feedback? What has worked for you? What has bombed? Do you use as a perfume, anoint candles, or both?

Q7, Charisma report

I wore a dab of Q7, a dab of Charisma, and a splash of Storyville to a women-only gathering this weekend. I put the Q7 in my hair so its scent didn't mix badly with the others.

My impression? I remembered why doing love & attraction magick is a bad thing--it works on the user 3 times as much as it works on its targets. Unfortunately, my hostess' mother ended up being home, so flirting possibilities were pretty much nonexistent and I went home rather frustrated. However, the Charisma seems to have worked just fine--I felt entirely at ease and one attendee later described me as "droolworthy". :D

Has anyone else tried Q7? How did it work for you?

ETA: OMG, I got asked out on a date as a result of that night. *squees* I guess the Q7 worked after all!

I CAN HAZ AMULETS and planetary TALs!

I splurged - LIEK WHOA - on two planetary amulets from TAL and their corresponding oils - Sol and Venus. Since the TAL oils are, without a doubt, the best and most magically effective ritual oils I've ever used, I thought the amulets would be great, too.

Well, I HAZ AMULETS. And oils. They arrived today, and I'm keeping them on my altar, in their plastic bags, until I'm ready to do the rituals around them.

The Sol one is bright metallic gold fabric, and smells like a sugar cookie! I get a wonderful feeling off of it even wrapped and not charged. Meanwhile, Venus is green and leaking some powdery substance (cinnamon? clove?) and smells rather like Road Opener - minty/floral.

Sol oil smells almost like lemonade, I srsly want to drink it (no, I won't but it smells THAT good!). Venus smells kinda funny, almost like overripe fruit. I hope that doesn't mean it won't work well for me.

I will keep everyone posted as to how they work for me when I've done the rituals around them. I've gotten into precisely calibrating my magical work and so I won't be consecrating and charging my Sol amulet until Sunday and then the Venus one probably not until the new moon in Taurus. And of course I will post to this community, my results. But the Sol amulet in particular just feels so wonderful to me.

Decanted imps you buy secondhand vs. bottles fresh from the Lab: notice a difference?

This is spinning off some comments in previous threads. Anyone notice a difference, effectiveness or ritual-wise, with imps you buy off the forums or LJ or wherever, that have been decanted and possibly passed around several times, versus bottles you buy fresh from the Lab or imps that you get from a decant circle (and not passed around a lot)?

So far I haven't noticed much difference. However, I have to wonder if imps that get passed from person to person pick up on everyone's energy on the way. Maybe I've just had the good luck to get imps from people with good auras or something!

Reposted reviews

Just an FYI:

Many of your reviews have been reposted in whole or in part at Pheromone Talk, which is apparently a forum for the company Smart Pheromones. We were informed of this at the forum earlier today, and I thought I'd let you know that I found a few posts from here as well when surveying the matter to see how extensive the reposting is (if it's just one person versus many).

Please excuse if this is the wrong place or an inappropriate question, and feel free to delete. But I noticed recently a circle, and one of the items was "Temple of the Raven of War." I could not find this in any of the reviews on the forum. I am unfamiliar. Anyone in the know do a quick and dirty explanation?

Oil Question #2

Sorry for the split post, but I have two totally separate questions and I believe I'd (and others) would like to track them separately for future information.

What is your opinion of the different powers of oils and how they should be used? For example, do you treat a TAL oil the same as you do a Voodoo blend? How about the Panaceas and the Chakra oils? Is there a difference to you in the oils that are listed on a separate site from the ones still included in the "perfume" lists on BPAL?

((crossposted to tal_reports and sinandsalvation))

TAL Question #1

Sorry for the split post, but I have two totally separate questions and I believe I'd (and others) would like to track them separately for future information.

Personal Question: I'm advising someone on issues they are having and how to improve things they are working on. It's rather like professorial or academic advising. Is there any advice on oils I can use to make myself wiser, better able to communicate the ideas and issues, and make the listener more open and receptive to taking criticism in the constructive, friendly, helpful manner I'm offering it?

((crossposted to tal_reports and sinandsalvation))

Twilight Alchemy Lab Conjure Bags and/or amulets

Anyone here ever use one of TAL's Conjure Bags or planetary amulets? If so, which ones and how did they work for you?

I'm thinking of getting both the Absolution conjure bag and the Jupiter planetary amulet. The Absolution because I need to banish, put behind me and forgive myself for some bad/foolish decisions in the past; the Jupiter because I'm a Sagittarius and I'm doing a year's cycle of work focused on self-improvement.

Hi, I'm Chloe. I'm a bit of a newbie, both to BPAL and to magic things. I've collected four tarot decks over the past two years, and I've gotten accurate readings often, but other than that I'm unexperienced. Part of this is that my family is highly Christian- I'm not- and disapprove of anything magical.

Anyways, I'm interested in ordering a few TAL oils and trying them out. I'm a writer- working on a novel right now- and I'm thinking of ordering Hand of Hermes and Hymn to Pan for it- it's about rock stars, Hymn to Pan is especially appropriate, eh?

I'm also wanting to try White Light for my anxiety issues and STFU to make my sister and her husband sniping at me- we've never had a good relationship and I doubt it is going to get better.

As I'm unknowledgeable but willing to learn, does anyone have any ideas on how to use these? I'm a little nervous about candles- I'm clumsy and knock them over far too often- would tea lights or the ones in little containers work? How much 'rock star debauch' does Hymn to Pan tend to give?
