I know this community hasn't been active in a long time but I stumbled across a couple things today and thought maybe someone might be interested.

NekoSims just posted two Potterverse items. They made children's uniform tops in each of the Hogwarts colors. They also made Mad Eye Moody's eye!

So we all know how there are kind of a ton of characters in Harry Potter, and how awesome that is for those of us who love to make Sims. But, unfortunately for those of us who hate building houses (like myself) , the fact that all of these characters need a place to live is a big problem.

For those with Apartment Life, these Diagon Alley apartments are perfect for your wizards who don't need a whole lot of space. (I've got my Remus Lupin living in one, using the leftover grant money from college. It's nice to not have to cheat to get him a place without a job.) But there are only four units, and there are plenty of characters who need a lot more room.

The fantastic lauralaima and StephSim both have quite a few canon lots, such as Shell Cottage, 12 Grimmauld Place, and Spinner's End (not to mention the amount of fantastic community lots). They also both have their own personal variations on Hogwarts. The only downside is that both creators tend to load their lots with CC of different sorts.

Speaking of Hogwarts, Mikethealtarboy on the Exchange has some Uni dorms that I swear by for my college-bound HP Sims.

A quick search on MTS for certain lot names will turn up a bunch of Burrows and an unfurnished Riddle House (although the ghosts don't seem to work as advertised).

But all of these are pretty specific. There are plenty of characters whose homes are never seen, so of course no one builds them. Where are we to put those characters? The aforementioned lauralaima has two Witchy Starters, which are perfect for this exact situation but...there's only two of them.

So what do you do? Since I'm totally naff at building I usually just download some nice-looking, HP-unrelated residential lots and claim "blending in with the Muggles" because I am lazy. But I'm very curious as to what the non-incredibly lazy do for magical housing.

Anyone out there?

Hi I know this community has been sleeping for a long time but I was wondering if it was going to get a revamp with Sims 3 coming out? Anyone planning on making Harry Potter sims and buildings? I figure once I get a better hand on the controls I am going to try. I need a little Bellatrix crazy in my neighborhood.

Introduction and Looking for Sims

Hello. I just joined this group and thought I would say hi. Harry Potter and the sims are my two favorite things. I've played a Malfoys (Draco, Narcissa, and Lucius) and Snape lot a bunch. Perhaps I'll get creative and actually post a story here now that I have an audience.

This is probably rude in a first post, but I was wondering if any group members could point me in the right direction. I am looking for Marauder-era Sims 2 sims (Lily, James, Sirius, Lupin, Peter, and Severus). Any age (adult, young adult, teen, children) would be fine. I've done a lot of searching myself with little luck. Thanks to anyone kind enough to reply.

I posted this in my personal journal, but am posting here, too.

I don't think I'm going crazy, but you can never know. I got my Ministry of Magic cd the other day, and while listening to it I noticed something familiar in the song The Hero. Go to their myspace and click on the 4th song in the player. There are bits that sound just like music in the sims. Am I imagining this?

The Death Eaters

After nudging from a few people on my last post, I decided that I may as well create some Death Eaters. They were quite awesome to play, some more than others (as you can see from the pictures). Evil is so much more fun!

All of them/Misc pictures

I moved Snape, Voldemort, Bellatrix, Rodolphus, Fenrir, and Peter into the dorms. Immediately they became Death Eaters, and started to have their first meetings.

Peter was allowed to join, but I like symmetry, so he had to stand

“I need you to kill Dumbledore, I know you can.” “Ehhh”

I decided the Death Eaters were too good to live in the dorms, so I moved them into a fortress. While it looked good when I downloaded it, it was insanely tiny when I actually moved them in.

I like the new meeting area.

“But Voldemort? How are we paying for everything?”

“I took out a loan, now shut up.”

He’s a bit of a jerk

A jerk who likes to build snowmen…

But mostly, he likes to hate people and be mean

He always looks thrilled when you tell him to beat someone up

He also had ‘I hate Snape’ thoughts, and I could never figure out why. Nothing showed up in his memory panel and he was never aggressive towards Snape…it was bizarre.

But of course, everyone needs love every once in a while, right? In his senior year, Voldemort rolled the want to fall in love. I laughed for about 5 minutes solid, but decided that I’d be nice and get him laid. So he hopped a cab to go downtown.

After getting him downtown, I had him scope the room. The below picture is what he found hot. I couldn’t get it in the picture, but this jerkwad was thinking about himself as he was going to the bathroom. Needless to say, Voldemort was better off alone.

Snape

Snape is not the prettiest Death Eater – this is his dancing face

Like Voldemort, Snape showed an interest in kissing. He discussed it with his master, and got permission to get laid once they moved into the frat house.

I found a Lily-esque girl who must have been a Snape fangirl, because she was easy!

Snape wasn’t all that fun, he mostly studied (greasy nose to the paper) and was pretty grumpy when he finally grew up.

Bellatrix and Rodolphus

Bella and Rodolphus were as easy to get together as Molly and Arthur.

They fell in love immediately

They also spent more time in their underwear than any other sim.

Bella usually had this blank expression on her face

Except the time she rolled the want to become a werewolf. She looked terrified in that moment. She rolled the want to have just about everyone become a werewolf.

Peter

I, uhh, forgot to take pictures of Peter. So the only college pics of him are with other sims or from the toga party they had, which you will not be seeing pictures of because it was made of fail. Who knew everyone hated Voldemort so much?

Fenrir

Fennie is one of my favorite characters, and one of the most fun sims ever! Most of the pictures I took were of him, and he is a blast to play. Due to a weird glitch, he doesn’t sprout fur when he changes into a werewolf, but his hairstyle does change.

My name is Fenrir Greyback, and I’m the captain of the S.S. Bathtub! Yarr!

At first, he tried to act like he was such a tough werewolf…

But he fed his womrat, Voldie, dutifully

Well…as dutifully as we all feed the womrat, right? (Seriously, those things are almost impossible to keep alive)

Back to the point (I had a point?) – Fennie was starting to seem lovable, and I suspected he was secretly a family sim. Yeah, I see that fading marriage bubble!

And the baby symbol! You can’t fool me!

“No really! I’m thinking about eating babies! Mmmm, baby soup.”

Ah-ha! I caught you! You were thinking about marriage again!

“I’m tough! I’ll prove it! See? Look how tough I am.”

Oh no! Fennie, don’t eat Voldie 5, I’ve replaced him about a million times already!

Phew. I thought you were going to eat him, you big softie.

To keep Fennie ~~happy~~ fat, I made sure that he ate a lot.

But as a werewolf, he was always hungry and kept leaving in the middle of the Death Eater Meetings.

So yes, Death Eaters are awesome to play, and I'll be moving them into a house to continue on with their lives. My simself was going to marry a Weasley, but now I'm starting to consider Fennie. <3

Another expansion pack for Sims 2 will be released: Bon Voyage. Personally, I think the most useless of the Sims 1 expansions is Vacation. Also, a H&M Fashion stuff pack will be released soon, as well as Celebration stuff pack. Why can't we get a Makin Magic for Sims 2?!?!?!
