WOW. I have not written anything in a VERY long time!! I've been incredibly busy. I started the masters program in Library and Information Sciences in the fall. I am officially a grad student! It rocks, but it's A LOT of homework. I've also been doing a lot of writing. One of my co-workers asked me to write a column on popular culture for her literary magazine, Press 1. So far, I've had two of them:

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

3D Dot Game Heroes

I am also now writing for a video game website called Gaming Target, which has been an amazing experience. I started a few weeks ago, so I only have a few items up right now:

review of Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?!

review of PixelJunk Shooter

first impressions of 3D Dot Game Heroes

and the latest, which just went up yesterday:

review of Heavy Rain

It's been really incredible so far. Dylan Cuthbert, the maker of Pixeljunk Shooter and president of the company, Q Games, re-tweeted the link to my review, and the web demo I got to be a part of for 3D Dot Game Heroes was extremely cool. I am very excited about working for them and about the prospect of doing things like getting a press pass for PAX East in a few weeks.

Other than doing homework and playing video games, I've just been working, trying to read and watch movies and listen to music and keep up with Lost and the Office, and spending time with Mike, who started law school in September. My little sister had a baby. I'm officially an aunt! His name is Matthew and he's wonderful. The cats have been ok, other than Tigger (the Puppycat) having some sort of episode last month which happened again Friday. I've taken him to the vet and she's trying to figure out what's wrong with him. There are lots of weddings this year...going to one this weekend and in one in May, for starters. I've started cooking and can make some mean chili in the slow-cooker (I know, I know, "crockpot"). I love Freakangels, Gurren Lagann, Zero Punctuation, and LibraryThing.

I hope you are all doing well. I miss being on LJ!! I am on Facebook, though, and Twitter, so if anyone wants to keep in touch, let me know. :)
