“…According to the data analyzed in this research, the diversity of lineages circulating in Nicaragua is lower compared to the majority of the countries in Central America and the introduction of new lineages occurred later than the majority of the countries in the region. It has been documented that most of the Central American countries, except for Nicaragua, have instituted stringent lockdowns, states of emergency, and states of calamity [25][26][27][28][29][30] . This observation suggests that, beyond these measures, there are other potential intrinsic factors in population dynamics that influence the nature of the circulating diversity and establishment of SARS-CoV-2 lineages.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.
