Cannot load hard text paragraphs for translation
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Hello,

I cannot seem to use the content translation tool as of right now, as attempting to click on the "add translation" buttons for the hard text to be replicated on the English for me to manually translate just brings up "automatic translation failed" messages. This message appears regardless of which part of the article is clicked, and even if it's a page I've already started to translate or a new page entirely. While using this on Google Chrome, this seems to occur on other browsers as well, namely Microsoft Edge. I am unsure if this is something to do with the cookies or configuration on my end. This started to occur a couple days ago. Below are some screenshots of the bug I am referring to on different articles.

Please address whenever possible. Thank you.

@PootisHeavy: Hi, why did you add the Community-Tech team? Did they explicitly say that they plan to look into this?

Hello,

I have never done this before, so I had looked around and saw that a number of the bug reports had them in their subscribed users/groups as well. I do apologize.

Hi, Could you please share the source and target languages of your translation? Also the MT engine(Google, MinT etc) you were using? Thanks!

Hello,

I translate primarily from Portuguese to English. I do not use machine translation in order to translate these articles, I translate them manually. Looking at the feedback page for the translation tool on MediaWiki, it seems that this is also occurring with English to Rusyn, English to Japanese, and English to Portuguese, so I am thinking that this is a bug with the tool itself.
