I'm already getting pretty fast at typing on it too! Oh, and we have internet again finally but Katie's computer doesn't like it. Also, we're supposed to talk to the landlord about it because it's not working perfectly yet and it's their fault.

Katie and I are in our apartment. Had nice but unhelpful interview with the bank today. Am looking forward to Mr. Copy tomorrow as long as the pay is liveable. They already know my name there, which is weird (I guess I'm the only one who was supposed to call today?).

Our real internet doesn't get installed or whatever until Wednesday.
Today in the Sims I played roughly 2 seasons with Dustin and his new girlfriend Kimberly. She's a dancer, and he's in the military. They both keep getting ridiculous amounts of promotions because the game is set up for much faster play.

I sent them downtown to get engaged about halfway through spring, but my game crashed before they got back home. I'll probably try again on Saturday. (Not later today/Friday, though. I'm going to St. Louis.)

(The real mystery will be trying to figure out why the game keeps treating Dustin like a teenager. He can't initiate sex, or a proposal. Probably one of my hacks. I'll have to play around.)

Only 2 or three more families to go before I can get back to playing more interesting people.

I really need to make an "add pictures" tag so that when I'm finally ready to properly go through my Sims screenshots, I can fix these dull posts.

(Oh, and for those of you wondering why I'm suddenly playing again so much, the reasons are these: the game crashes less often since I reinstalled, and I'm using it was a reward for writing.)

So, I just locked myself out of my online payment account for one of my loans. I won't be able to get a new password for, like, a week. I would call right now and do the payment that way, but they're in Louisville which is in EASTERN TIME and thusly they have been closed for an hour. I'm not entirely sure I'll have time to do it tomorrow, what with the driving to St. Louis, but maybe I can do it on Katie's cell phone while I'm in the car.

*makes sure to copy down all the information they could possibly ask for.*

I don't think a check would get there in time. Yes, it's Louisville, but ... well, I don't trust them to process it in time.

So, after many weeks and even more game crashes, I have finally brought Daniel (danielefton) through his first year in the Sims.

He's got a steady boyfriend (Greg Baena, a Townie), a business (Used & New Cars), and a semi-crappy apartment that he's more than ready to move out of. I am still mourning the fact that you can't purchase a second home in PleasantView - only the actual vacation areas. I wanted him to buy an empty lot and start building on it.

There may be pictures later but right now, I am lazy.

I don't really know why my game is crashing so much, but so far it's been behaving tonight - I think I played for something like two hours, and I'm going to play some more once I quit babbling, and figure out who I'm supposed to be playing next.

...And the answer to that is "I don't know" because I can't find my notebook in the dark. I'll just have to guess.

My leaving the Spork Room (in a posting capacity anyway - I'll still probably check the threads now and again) last night had very little to do with KD. Though she made me frustrated - mostly because everything I ever learned in Sociology told me she was wrong and she kept throwing out red herrings and non-sequiters everywhere - it was mostly just a catalyst for me doing something I've been intending to do for a while. I've been pretty darn active on the site for 6-7 months or so, but the last month (or more), every time I log in, or go on chatzy, someone does something or says something to set me off, to the point my girlfriend had noticed.

I'm not going to name names, because that won't help. It's nothing they can really change anyway. And it's not KD, for sure. She's usually the sanest one there (for certain values of sane, anyway).

I guess I didn't make it clear enough that it wasn't really the argument with KD that caused this, and I'm sorry for that.
