I posted the new chapter to Fear Response up on the Pit of Voles, and the two comments I got back on it already make me want to set the site on fire. One person was like, “You made a mistake lol” and the other needed to be wearing a tinfoil hat.

I started a new story, for FFXV, and it is not going up there. I’m just gonna stick with AO3.

I'll be honest; Pillowfort has not impressed me at all, and Dreamwidth feels horribly dated (trying to use this site on a phone is really NOT FUN, Y'ALL. But at least it's useable, unlike Pillowfort rn). I'm really hoping one of them gets it together, or that a heretofore unknown third option gets its shit together soon.

I am really not impressed by Pillowfort right now.

When I tried looking at the site the first time, if was down.

When I finally got to see the demo site, it was utterly meh, and then it crashed.

I sucked it up and "donated" $5 for a key, supposedly to be sent the following Friday.

It's Friday. No key yet.

And the site crashed again when I looked at it yesterday for shits n giggles.

Uuuuuuuuggggghhhhhh.

A/N: I’ve recently been rewatching Hannibal as I get a friend into it, and just finished season 2. The title comes from a song I adore in a rhythm game called "Deemo." The song, "Moon Without the Stars," has lyrics I just love, and it seemed so fitting for the mood I wanted for this scene: "What's a heartbeat with a heartache?/What's a hurricane without the rain?/What's the moon without the stars? That's how it feels when we're apart."

I'm using something from the book canon, which is that Hannibal Lecter has two independent streams of thought, something he was diagnosed with as a child, and part of why he's so blooming intelligent - he almost quite literally has two brains working away in that twisted noggin of his. I am, however, giving it a TV!Hannibal twist by using something Mads Mikkelsen said about how he's playing Dr. Lecter - as if he were actually Satan, a demonic force for evil in the world. So my Hannibal head canon is that one of his streams of thought is Hannibal Lecter the human, and the other is the demonic fallen angel.

I had stopped really posting here since I started doing more AO3 stuff, and more recently Tumblr, plus this never quite took off after LJ’s self-defenestration. But hey, let’s give this place a new shot and see.

I’ll link to my more recent fic in the next few days, and we’ll see how it goes.

...who knows, maybe I’ll even start making icons again like I used to for LJ and IJ. :D

That's how y'all got the end of TTYNKAP in one big burst, and why you're hopefully about to get the end of Thagirion as well.

Quick update!

The next chapter of Thagirion is upcoming. As in, hopefully within the next two weeks (I'd say definitely, except I have proofreading for a translation class I teach that are due soon, so that's taking away from my writing time.) There are only a few scenes left to write, and I've been working on it off and on for the last few weeks. It's...really close to being done. As in, if I didn't have the aforementioned proofreading, it'd likely be done in the next few days. But it's definitely soon.

OH GOD, THE SEASON 2 FINALE OF HANNIBAL.

Y'all.

Y'ALL.

I have gone fullmetal fangirl over this series, and have been blown away all season, but this up was above and beyond. I'm putting it up there with Breaking Bad's Ozymandias for best episodes of anything ever. It was, as far as I'm concerned, perfect.

And I am fighting SO HARD not to write an AU where Hannibal makes a different choice in that scene with him and Will and [redacted for spoiler]. If I didn't have so much on my plate and so little time right now, I so would. ...and still might, since my internet will be very curtailed next month. Hmm....

If you're not watching this show...WHY?!
