I'm torn

"I don't know if we'll do anything with this, but the fact that Doctor Watson is married for loads of the stories is really interesting. He and Holmes don't always live together and I think that's become a lazy way of doing Sherlock Holmes - they always live together. They didn't actually and why would they? Nobody flat-shares forever, so there's loads of details we can get in there..."

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I'm pleased Moffat wants to bring more cannon in and be faithful to the source material. On the other hand, I want to scream "'Ship killer!" at him because I'm a bit of a fanboy, and they are that good together. Whether the relationship is purely platonic or has romantic overunder?-tones; they just work cohabiting and working together.

And his 'can't flat-share forever' argument is complete crap. Some bromances DO flat-share for (essentially) ever. I personally know a pair of blokes who've roomed together for the last 26(?) years. Close, platonic friends like that exist.
