So possible idea for how a fic exchange could be worked out?

Note: this is a work in progress and is not official.

Things we will need for a fic exchange:

1) mods

-rules and FAQ maybe?

2) a cool-looking banner

-especially one that people are willing to pimp out and spread throughout the fandom

3) a sign-up

-About You section:

-username/pseudonym: some way of reaching the person through LJ or tumblr (or Dreamwidth if necessary)

-e-mail address (must be valid NOT a forwarding address)

-nature of entry (fic, art, graphic, gif post, podfic (original work preferred unless working in conjunction with another author), fanmix)

-What are you offering to write?

-which season(s) of Teen Wolf can you write about?

-you can also write pre-series fic or future-fic

-which characters are you willing to write about?

-what genres are you willing to write about?

-if you’re willing to do a crossover, which fandoms are you willing to crossover with?

-Wish List section:

-actual prompt (be explicit so that the author has an idea of what you’d like to see; we’ll try to match up people as best as possible)

-Elements you’d like to see (pairings, themes, etc)

-Elements you would like to avoid

-Other section:

-Do you know that you are asked to use a beta for submitting fanworks? (I’d like to do this for all fanworks just because an outsider’s perspective is nice to have and maybe it’ll encourage more people to beta other people’s fanworks. We could definitely use more betas in the fandom.)

-Would you be interested in volunteering as a pinch-hitter?

- Would you be interested in volunteering as a beta?

-The name of someone your gifter can contact you about your preferences or some way of contact that allows the gifter to remain anonymous while asking about preferences?

4) a timeline for things:

So a date for sign-ups to open for all participants

A date for sign-ups to close for all participants

Pinch-hitters if necessary?

A period of time when assignments are sent out

Some period of time later, betas need to look over the progress of the assignments

Assignments are due

Pinchitter assignments are due

So the lovely Jen hosted a tinychat tonight, which I have transcribed from when I joined in at around 9:49PM CDT.

I'll post the entire transcription that I have under a cut, but before it, I want to summarize a few ideas that spawned from the tinychat (in case you don't really want to read it in its entirety, which is totally understandable).

1) The fugue state of the fandom as caused by the hiatus until season 3 where PUPPY PILES AND PACK HUGS will be had as well as a FIC/ART/GIF/GRAPHIC/FANMIX/PODFIC all the things fest and possibly an AU fest
-also spamming each other's ask boxes for comfort and support (and our fix of FIC)
-also many REWATCHES together on livestream because of reasons

2)Doctor Who!AU or Torchwood!AU (as suggested by bunnywan: Torchwoof)
-where Stiles is the Doctor or Donna
-which prompted me to say this: "SILENCE IN THE LIBRARY. STILES MEETS DEREK THERE. AND THEN THEY NEVER MEET AGAIN." (yeah...right in the feels, sorry....)
-where Jack Harkness meets Derek (and presumably hits on him)
-where Derek is the Doctor
-where Jack meets Peter
-where Derek is a Time Lord (not necessarily the Doctor) and Stiles is Jack (and presumably hits on him)
-where Allison is the Doctor or Rose
-where Lydia is the Doctor (one that I would love to see)
-where Erica is the Doctor or the Master with Stiles as her companion and Derek as an alien they take care of or Martha fuckin' Jones
-where Isaac is the Doctor or Rory
-where Peter is the Master and Chris is his wife
-where Jackson is a Silurian or Captain Jack Harkness (because he's everyone's type) and Danny is Ianto

3)Secret Santa Exchange (not limited to fic)

4)TEA PARTY (prompted by me saying this " i would just love to have tea with all of you and sob into the teacups")
-to which I replied that we should make our own blends of tea on Adagio (especially considering that we have fandom drinks and PLENTY OF DRINKING GAMES.... Drink responsibly guys. Hiatus is coming up literally after today, and I know I'll be playing one of them, but we don't want the fandom to thin out because of alcohol poisoning.)
