Otakon: Baltimore Anime Convention

From Hattiesburg to Baltimore! Let's GO!!!

Every year when Otakon is only a month away, I open up invitations for local folk to come with my friends and I.
This year, we're flying instead of driving, so the price is highly determined by your plane ticket.

You can still pre-register for Otakon at the at-door rate of $65.

If you've never been to an anime convention, before, Otakon is a great con to start with! It is huuuuuuge and every minute of your days and nights can be spent enjoying yourself. We take over downtown Baltimore so you'll see video game characters and anime characters at every cafe and restuarant for miles around. If you want to sight-see; the Baltimore Aquarium and other attractions are within walking distance of the convention center and hotels.

My group got a hotel across the street from the convention center instead of blocks away. I'm also giving a small post-con rebate to the people traveling with me because I'll be getting a percentage of my costs refunded for hosting a panel. We'll be there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at a rate of $180 a night. We'll have a minimum of four people and a maximum of six in our room. The most each person will pay is $135 for the whole weekend.

If you're 18+ years old and into Anime, Jrock, or any other part of Japanese culture, traveling with us to Otakon should be lots of fun for you!

If you're a fan of Hyde from L'arc en Ciel, there's a VAMPS concert going on in Baltimore the night before Otakon starts. Also, at Otakon you can meet VAMPS and get signed merchandise!
We'll be there in time for you to enjoy

There's also a performance by Kanon Wakeshima (a new artist produced by Mana of Malice Mizer) that's included with your Otakon registration!

Anime Conventions, anyone?
If you're attending this year's A-kon Convention in Dallas, TX you've automatically entered yourself to win prizes.

The judges at Splitpea News(dot)Net want to give you awards, not for your cosplay, not for your art, not for all that other stuff that too many people get too much credit for, but for being you. If "You" happens to be well-dressed, attractive, interesting, a party animal, etc. then, "You" deserves some extra cash or awards.
