Hey guys! I've decided to make the application more exciting by requiring that applicants post picture/links in their apps of their favorite painting and poety. Any objections? It would make up more interesting and I think a lot of us are too lazy to read an app and be like Oh I've never heard of that poem and google it. But maybe that's just me.

I went to a court hearing the other day and saw his picture hanging in the court house next to his puppeteer, Cheney, and cracked up. I couldn't stop laughing. My grandma told me to stop and that it was inappropriate for a court house, but when I couldn't stop, she yelled, "ASHLEY, WHAT THE HELL!" My grandma: Setting a good example everywhere.

If you could live in a different time era, which one and why?: My first inclination would be to say the Victorian era, but now that I think about it, sexual repression, starvation, and fainting couches doesn't sound all that fun. I'm going to have to say the 1920's. I also rather like France's Golden Age, La Belle Epoque. I suppose I have a fondness, though it's rather concealed by outward loathing, for decadence.

x. Favorite Animals: I love all animals. I have a gorgeous Balinese kitty named Atreyu:

I also have two dogs and a Maine Coon cat. I have a soft spot for reptiles and would love to have a snake, but I lack the cajones to feed them. Bunnies are awesome. Put an animal in front of me and count how long it takes me to pick it up and squeeze it. You'd only count as high as it took me to catch it.

x. Hobbies/interests: I've discovered a love for cooking, so I've been doing a lot of that lately. I play B flat clarinet and E flat contrabass clarinet in band. I used to play violin, but I don't think string instruments are my niche, so I dropped that relatively early. I love painting but rarely find the time/have the money to support the hobby. I do tarot frequently. My main interest, however, is pampering myself out to the max. For those of you interested in smelling nice and those of you who have "darker" interests, check out Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. They're wonderful and amazing and I can't stress how much I love them. They're one of my few obsessions. I'm also interested in the Spiritualism era of the 1920's.

I would most likely live in the future. Not as in a second later but in about five years from now. I don't have the best life and I always tell myself and others, "You'll see! I will make something of myself!" I just want to see if it will be true or not.

I really love to listen to a lot of 80s music, and I love how it was about the music for bands then, and even before then. This is a drawing my little cousin did on PSP. He was really proud of himself for doing it, and it reminded me of how great it is to make a person happy with one little action. Just letting him doodle like that "tickles" him, and it makes me happy, because he's happy. Maybe that's lame, but oh well. Any thoughts on Maynard James Keenan? I'm not a big APC fan, but from an interview I've seen him have, I think he's a really intelligent musician.
Stereotype yourself: I hate to sound like one of those bitches that is all like "DON'T STEREOTYPE ME I AM MY OWN PERSON" and then goes off and falls into a stereotype, but I honestly don't know what stereotype would fit me. I'll just go with "band geek". Because I love band, for the most part.
Favorite Poem: "The Surgeon at 2am" by Sylvia Plath. I had to read a poem for Theatre, and when I found it, I was extremely amazed by it. It's very different. I also like most of my poems, because I wrote them, and they are nice to remember things with.
Favorite artist/painting: My favorite artist would probably be Vincent Van Gogh, if not for his creativity, for who he was, and his tragic fate.
Favorite Book or Author: I will never have a favorite author, because it's really hard for me to find something I like. My favorite books, at the moment, is "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski. I haven't finished reading it yet, but it's very entrancing. I like it.
