john mccain has planned his election night appearance in a fancy hotel ballroom in scottsdale, az [where currently a boys' choir is singing]--or in other words, a private, elite, and exclusive environment--whereas barack obama will hold his appearance in a public park in downtown chicago [where people are currently streaming in to get a spot].

ARD, one of the public tv networks in germany, is streaming their coverage, yay!
also, the coverage of the electio is interrupted by little features about america. right now they are doing one on illegal immigrants in southern california. perhaps not surprising, the report is very sympathetic and not at all omg ev0l illegal immigrants!! [even though germany has a more than shady history of immigration, i'd like to add].
