Fanmix for	Steven Hyde and Jackie Burkhart (That 70s Show ‘Ship)
Rules	If taking, please let me know. Do NOT repost as your own, I worked really hard on this!
Short Summary	I wanted to do a fanmix for J/H that showed the good, the bad, and the ugly. Their relationship doesn’t have that perfect storybook ending, and I wanted to reflect that with the music. Although I was sorely tempted to leave the end out of this.

Also a great picture of them. He loves her, but he can’t stay with her because he’s afraid of being tied down.

So she said what's the problem baby? What's the problem? I don't know. Well maybe I'm in love… Well I didn't mean to do it But there's no escaping your love				At first, neither had any intention of loving the other, but it just happened. Accidentally.
3.			Heard It In a Love Song	Marshall Tucker Band
I'm the kinda man likes to get away, Likes to start dreamin about tomorrow today. Never said that I love you, even thought it's so				Hyde’s usually on the run from love but Jackie starts to change that.
4.			That’s the Beat of a Heart	Warren Brothers
Sometimes it's hard, you don't wanna look over your shoulder 'Cause you don't want to remember where you've been. There'll come a time you’d die, If you could only hold her. 'Cause I know that's where I am				All the time Hyde spent telling himself he didn’t have feelings for Jackie, and he finally realizes she’s what he’s wanted all along.
5.			Down We Fall	Drake Bell
You were so clever, You kept it together today, By the way, I'll no longer ignore you, I wanted to show you again, I'm your friend, Sometimes we just pretend.				Jackie tries for a long time to make Hyde stop ignoring her and see her as someone he can love before she finally succeeds.
6.			It Ain’t Me Babe	Joaquin Phoenix/Reese Witherspoon (I like this version better than Johnny Cash or Bob Dylan)
I'm not the one you want, babe. But it ain’t me, babe… It ain’t me you’re looking for.				Hyde knows the kind of man Jackie’s always wanted, and he knows he’s not that kind of man. He’s not going to be like Kelso, but he still wants to be with her.
7.			When I Need You	Leo Sayer
I never knew there was so much love Keeping me warm night and day				The first kiss, of course! And neither of them realizes quite how much the other loves them.
8.		You’re the One That I Want		Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta
You better shape up Cause I need a man, And my heart is set on you You better shape up, You better understand, To my heart I must be true. Nothing left, nothing left for me to do.				Well, obviously, Jackie’s Grease Fantasy for one thing. For another, Jackie doesn’t want anyone but Hyde, and Hyde knows that there’s nothing to do but go with it.
9.			Angel Eyes	Jeff Healy Band
There's just one more thing that I have to know, If this is love why does it scare me so? It must be something only you can see, 'Cause girl I feel it when you look at me				Hyde can’t understand why a girl like Jackie is in love with a guy like him. He’s always been scared of love, but he knows that Jackie sees more in him than he’s ever seen himself.

Through the storm we reach the shore. You give it all but I want more And I'm waiting for you… I can't live With or without you.				Jackie and Hyde to a tee! They want more from each other but both are afraid of things about each other. They can barely live with each other sometimes, but they can’t live without each other.
11.			Rainy Days and Mondays	The Carpenters
Funny, but it seems I always wind up here with you. Nice to know somebody loves me. Funny, but it seems that it’s the only thing to do Run and find the one who loves me.				When Jackie’s feeling down, she always runs to Hyde. She knows there’s nothing else that will make her feel better.
Disc 2
1.			Crush	Dave Matthews Band
Crazy how it feels tonight. Crazy how you make it all alright love. You crush me with the things you do. I do for you anything, too. Sitting, smoking, feeling high… In this moment it feels so right. Lovely lady, I am at your feet. God, I want you so badly.				Something about Jackie makes Hyde a little crazy, and she can make him do things he never would have done.
2.	You Save Me			Kenny Chesney
When I'm a bullet shot out of a gun When I'm a firecracker coming undone When I'm a fugitive ready to run, all wild-eyed and crazy No matter where my reckless soul takes me, Baby you save me.				Jackie is the only one who can bring out the soft side of Hyde, even when he’s going crazy.
3.	If You Ever Stop Loving Me			Montgomery Gentry
There's been street fights, blue lights, Long nights with the world sittin' on my chest: It just showed me how much I could take. Hard times, bad luck. Sometimes, life sucks. That's all right, I'm ok. It ain't nothin' but another day. But only God knows where I'd be, If you ever stopped lovin' me.				Hyde has been through millions of problems, and faced his share of trouble, but he’s gotten through. The only thing he’s scared of (whether he shows it or not) is losing Jackie’s love.
4.	The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most			Dashboard Confessional
Buried deep as you can dig inside yourself, And covered with a perfect shell, Such a charming beautiful exterior… Laced with brilliant smiles and shining eyes And perfect makeup but you're barely scraping by.				When Jackie’s scared of things, Hyde knows it better than anyone. She can’t hide it from him.
5.	Why?			Jason Aldean
Why does it always have to come down to you leaving, Before I say I love you? Why do I always use the words that cut the deepest, When I know how much it hurts you? Oh, baby, why do I do that to you?				Hyde doesn’t understand why he keeps hurting Jackie, and why it takes her almost leaving for him to say what he feels.
6.	Leave the Pieces			The Wreckers
You not making up your mind Is killing me and wasting time. I need so much more than that… There’s nothing you can do or say You’re gonna break my heart anyway Just leave the pieces when you go.				Jackie wants Hyde to make up his mind if he really wants to be with her forever. Unfortunately, she has the sinking feeling that he’s going to break her heart.
7.	I Only Wanna Be With You			Hootie and the Blowfish
You and me, we come from different worlds… You look at me, you got nothing left to say. I'm gonna pout at you until I get my way. I won't dance, you won't sing. I just wanna love you, but you wanna wear my ring.				This song isn’t totally J/H, but there are a few lines that fit them perfectly. For instance, they do come from different worlds, the rich beauty and the poor burnout. Also, Hyde loves Jackie, and is happy with the relationship they have, while Jackie wants him to promise a future.
8.	Better Than Me			Hinder
I told myself I won't miss you, But I remembered What it feels like beside you… And I think you should know this, You deserve much better than me.				When Jackie leaves, Hyde doesn’t want to miss her, but he can’t help remembering everything. And from the very beginning, Hyde feared that he wasn’t good enough for Jackie.
9.	All That I’ve Got			The Used
I guess, I remember every glance you shot me. Un-harmed, I'm losing weight and some body heat. Eyes closed so hard I stopped your heart from beating So deep that I didn't even scream.				When Jackie and Hyde break up, how neither of them can move on, because they remember everything they shared.

Look at me, my depth perception must be off again. You got much closer than I thought you did. I'm in your reach. You held me in your hands. But could you find it in your heart To make this go away, And let me rest in pieces?				Hyde never realized he’d let Jackie get so close until he’d lost her.

I tried to move you but, you just wouldn't budge I tried to hold your hand but, you'd rather hold your grudge you said goodbye and I just don't want you regretting that No, I don't hate you don't want to fight you know I'll always love you but, right now I just don't like you				The helplessness Jackie feels when trying to get Steven back and realizing it’s never going to happen
12.	Everything You Want			Vertical Horizon
You're waiting for someone To put you together. You're waiting for someone to push you away. There's always another wound to discover. There's always something more you wish he'd say.				Hyde’s side of Jackie’s relationships with Kelso and Fez… He knows her better than either of them, and he knows that they will never know her well enough or be able to say the things she needs to hear like he does.
