Songs of 2016
To be fair, 2016 will always remind me of the year I didn't mind Justin Bieber and I loved twentyone pilots and I cursed getting in the slowest hot dog line ever every time I heard Imagine Dragon's Warrior from the concessions rather than the stands, but here are my top ten songs I bought in 2016 that were actually released in 2016 in no particular order!
Aurora - Conqueror
Crystal Fighters - Lay Low - Cause it makes me happy
LVL UP - Hidden Driver (in case you had a Neutral Milk HOtel longing, but just in spirit)
Psychic Ills - I don't mind (in case you had a Hope Sandoval longing, but for real)
Lumineers - Ophelia - Cause I like clapping.
Langhorn Slim - Land of Dreams
Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam - In a Black Out
Globelamp - Washington Moon
Michael C. Hall - Heroes - From the Cast Recording, and I already listened to my 10 versions of Heroes over and over again this year. I didn't think I needed another. I was wrong.
Car Seat Headrest - Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales - I can't get the refrain out of my head. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS.
