(Blink 182 came on at the restaurant where I was having dinner with my mom earlier. Of course I had to sing along!)

I'm working on getting my laptop all better after it fell off my bed and fucked up the hard drive. Head crashes are not fun, let me tell you. Basically running what I had in August, thanks to a complete backup, but I still haven't recovered anything since then :(

Help Wanted

So, my friend nyxelestia is looking to start a new resource comm and is looking for some help either with the running of the comm or with indexing posts on delicious.

It's a really cool idea:

So, there are lot of research comms/sites out there, but what I want to start is a resource comm - a place to pool and find resources on a topic you're writing about. An user can post saying they're writing about a war, event, time, place, ect., and people will offer recs and resources to help them out.

The goal is to have both an LJ comm and a Delicious account tagging posts and individual resources. I'm currently trying to work out/set-up a tagging system for both (on LJ, archive links will only be to tags and posts, while on Delicious I'm hoping to eventually tag individual resources/links).

Guess what!!!!!! So I was thinking about bands and stuff, and I was like hmmm, I wonder who's coming around me this summer, and had a look and... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Guysguysguys!!! Cobra Starship is coming right near me! And I mean, like, to the very college my brother goes to!!!! NEXT MONTH. And tickets are like $32!!!!!!!! Well, if I can bribe my brother (student) or my dad (almuni) possibly less *ponders*

And if that wasn't enough...Warped is coming close by too, in July (with AAR on board). And then Paramore in August (even though I heard they suck live, whatever). And the Black Eyed Peas...sometime. I'm not actually sure when, but my friend was bugging me about going, so, I assume they're coming...
Now, plan is, get jobs. Make enough money to go back to college. SEE CONCERTS YAY!!!!

Plan may be going well, just got a call about another interview next week. And turned in more applications :) Trying to get all the paperwork together for college in the Fall, and maybe a community college class this summer, so I can get out of taking Calc I again. So, apologies for not being very ontop of the flist lately.

Fandom land wise, I'm trying to finish up my Artword stuff, which is now late, though it's the Fleet, so it's all very chill. And my todo list is long, primarily Merlin stuff, but I'll spare you all. I'm just happy I can wear flip flops for the first time this year! XD

And, all this music talk lately...I've started writing again. It feels good. Why did I ever stop? Now if goddamn Finale would just cooperate, life would be good. Oh circle progressions!!!

Spent the weekend working with the camelot_fleet task force to make the fanlore Merlin pages awesome. Now having super panic over both Artword projects. I think they'll be done in time though, so merihn and lolryne don't kill me :p Also making excellent progress on my spring swap gifties and dk323's time travel fic. I scored two group interviews - A&F and Hollister ~~shut up~~! And turn in a bunch of applications. So hopefully I'll be working soon :D And I have become addicted to Panic! and pretty much all of Decaydance fic. I want to keep Brendon&Ryan&Spencer&Jon in my pocket and take them out to pet them :p

Right, so, more Merlin fic that isn't what I should be writing (or doing - next week: finals! o.O). Gah. First porn, now fluff. Someday I'll manage to finish an actual story.

Pretty much, this was written to fend off nyxelestia from poking me about that steampunk fic that was supposed to be my NaNo fic. Yeah... (and maybe because I feel a tiny bit bad that it's my fault Snuggle evolved into 6 pages of notes on a hospital!AU.)

Premise slightly crackish, but it pretty quickly devolves into porn. Erm, first forray both into sexytimes and Merlin fandom. And I find it ironic that out of all the Merlin fics I have half done on my computer, I finish the porn first. *sigh*

So I was looking through my stories last night, and I realised I have a bunch of things that are half done. I think I should focus on one or two and finish them up, but I can't decide. So I thought I'd ask the wonderful people on my f-list what they thought.

The choices are as follows:

1) Next chapter of Close Protection featuring driving, flirting, and fighting

2) AR bedtime story crack!fic where geekiness and RvB meet Disney

3) Funny Draco/Blaise fic that's post-war victorious!Voldie

4) H/D fic (called Moment of Change) vaguely based off a whole slew of songs, where Draco grows up and finds himself for once (because sometimes goodbye's the only way) - currently my baby ^_^

Close Protection Status Update 2 - May 2009

Hello there ^_^

I got really motivated last night (for no apparent reason), so now I'm hoping to have chapter 8 done soon. Yay! And I had my first driving experience last weekend (though I've been of age to drive for years now - try to figure that out) so I feel much more confidant writing that sort of thing ;) And all I have to say is it's going down at SAS camp :D

So current word count: 3,271 (including a scripted section).
