selling old laptops

i just a got a new laptop so now i'm trying to figure out what to do with my old one. it's a toshiba, 5+ years old that works but just barely. it's in pretty good condition, it's just old and not a very good computer.

so my question is, what can i do with it? i'd love to sell it somewhere even if i only got like $20 for it but my brother says refurbishing stores don't buy laptops. is there anywhere that will buy this sort of thing?

if not i'd be interested in donating it but again, i'm not sure if it'd be of any use.

any ideas?

i just feel really bad throwing it away. it seems like a terrible waste.
