Hey everyone! I am venturing back to LiveJournal. I've tried a few times then life would get crazy. Now I am determined to do it. I am also on Dreamwidth, which will be getting the same posts I do here. I used to have the best friendships on here so I am hoping to rekindle that.

Occupation: I am currently disabled, but do side work for an art studio/theater and I am also their building manager for one of their locations. I am also a student (trying to get back into it after becoming disabled late last year.)

Kids/pets: I hve 4 kids (3 here, 1 has passed) and I have two cats, Lexi and Luna. I take way too many pictures of them.

How long have you been in livejournal?: I technically started in the late 90's.

What kind of books do you like?: I honestly will read anything. I do love paranormal and mysteries. Also science fiction.

What is your favorite movie/TV shows?: I love Star Trek, everything Marvel, any shows about hospitals and first responders, anything to do with the legal system. I'm also a huge broadway fan so the Wicked movies are top of my mind lately. I love all kinds of movies.

What kind of music do you listen to?: 90's, broadway musicals, Taylor Swift and I play Halloween Horror Nights playlists a lot.

What are some of your hobbies?: Theater, directing shows, art, thrifting, going to the Space Center.

Other interest?: True Crime, tattoos, photography, activism

What are you looking for in a livejournal friend?: Someone who I get along with, won't be offended if I aren't here for a few days. Becoming disabled and chronically ill makes me unreliable in that sense but I always find time after practicing self care.

Hello there! My name is Rita, and I've been here for almost a year now, so... I guess you could say I am fairly new. I am more active onDreamwidth and InsaneJournal, but I've always been enamored with old internet aesthetic and fandom and LJ is such a neat time capsule in that regard.

I'm a fanfic writer, and the fandoms that I write for include but are not limited to: classic rock RPF (specifically Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin) and MCU (mostly Loki).

I have a maltipoo dog that love more than my own life named Abby. We live in Texas.

I know LJ is kind of dead these days, but I do hope to make some friends over here. ❤️

Hello, I am new here. I know so late to the game. Was sort of just looking for a fresh community online to socialize with and expand my circle. Worse thing about fb, twitter,IG, etc. is the fact that a lot of people you actually know are on it but never talk to you. Hoping to find friends here.

Currently I live in Oklahoma. My 2 youngest live with me and my ex is just my room mate right now. ( I just couldn't allow the father of my child to be living on the street... of course that doesn't mean he's special... I would have invited anyone I know to stay with me if they had no where else to go.) My oldest lives with her father. This is also a new computer so I don't have a picture yet. How long have you been on LiveJournal? Since the beginning of 2003, although my present account is my third or fourth since then.
What do you/will you write about? Mostly about the mundane events of my life, sometimes about political issues and current affairs, sometimes about music, and occasionally about relationships and intimate experiences. I'm a habitual photographer and often post photos of my surroundings or places I've visited. And if I'm stuck for something to write but need an excuse to communicate, I'll occasionally dig up an old quiz and give the daftest answers I can think of to the absurd and ridiculous questions.
What particular qualities do you look for in a friend? I like honest, open, meaningful communication. I like people with firm opinions and moral values. I like people who value life-experience over material possessions. I like people who make me laugh. I like people who define themselves by the music they love.
What would cause you not to add someone as a friend, or to delete them? Racism, bigotry, delusional beliefs, fervent religiousness, attention-seeking and trouble-making. Those are all obvious things, but sometimes you just realise you have nothing in common with someone, they're boring or you just can't relate to them.
Favourite films or TV shows: I haven't owned a TV for years, and I don't miss it in the slightest. My favourite film is Irma Vep, featuring the fabulous Maggie Cheung. In general, I'm not really interested in popular culture and mass entertainment.
Favourite books: Anything that'll bore me to sleep when I go to bed.
Favourite foods: Smoked tofu. It's the most delicious thing ever!
Favourite drinks: I love a pint-or-two of Guinness. Highland Park whisky is a rare treat, too. I also recently discovered ground, cafetiere-brewed coffee, and my mornings are so much better for it!
Favourite bands and musicians: Cardiacs, Charlotte Hatherley, Die So Fluid, Flowing Tears, Generation X, Michael Schenker, Paradise Lost, Rush, Soundgarden and X-Ray Spex, to name but a few. There are many, many others.
Hobbies and pastimes: Travelling and exploring (when I can afford it), photography, thinking up tunes in my head and dreaming of being a punk rock superstar but never actually doing anything about it!
How would you describe your style? Moderately trad-punk. I don't think I own a single item of clothing that isn't black.
Anything else you'd like to tell us? After pondering the issue for a while, I've decided to continue with LiveJournal despite a prolonged lack of interaction, because if there's a satisfactory alternative, I've yet to find it. I tend to be quite a solitary and self-contained person and find social interaction difficult, so I'm particularly keen to find new friends on LJ.

In my journal, there is endless posting about sex. It is not uncommon that homosexuality and perversion and lesbian golfing are included. I especially enjoy little people making porno movies pretending no one is exploiting them. This is basically my intro post/about me at my blog .. but hoping to find friends again.

The name is Leslie. I'm a 30-something-ish wannabe blogger from California, currently living in the sunny state of Florida. I am a wife, a mom, an assistant manager of a store & a pretty big nerd. I am currently obsessed with Disney (passholder here!), Halloween Horror Nights, theater, running, sleeping, meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, sushi & the pescatarian life. (That means I only eat fish for meat, though I'll splurge on a steak occasionally...) I call myself a new-agey, hippie-like, pastel gothy, liberal/left Christian who has a hard time fitting in places. I do paranormal investigation, sing in choir, do plays, train for my first 5k (at DISNEY!) & generally try to make money to help my family survive & be able to do fun things. I am body positive, I've lost 40lbs, I take natural stuff to help with chronic pain & I am really into pastel pink, rose gold & that pretty light mint. I basically live on Diet Coke which is bad. I am kind of a lonely person, have maybe 3 really good friends & that's okay.

I recently returned to LiveJournal-land after a period of absence due to getting re-assimilated to life in the US, life after college... life in general, lol. I'm a 30 year old INFJ, a planner, a fan of Disney, an introvert with extrovert qualities, a traveler, a wife, a writer and a mother most recently. I'm currently obsessed with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Frozen fanfiction, writing the first draft of a novel before November and becoming a real estate agent. I like trying to get seven hours of sleep, British comedies /mysteries/dramas, taking too many pictures of my daughter and telling my husband cringe-worthy jokes. My husband's in law enforcement, my mother's a hoarder and both my parents are total narcissists, so sometimes I rant/vent in my entries.

I will make a concerted effort to comment on your entries because I want to make some actual friendships on here again. I started using LJ back in the early 2000s and have so many fond memories of people I met through here.

I'm not even learning French — I'm learning another language — three, actually. It's going just about as well as you'd expect. My name is Victoria or something like that and I'm an adult. I'm over 21 but below 25. I'm currently working on losing a lot of weight — 60-70 lbs. So, I'll be posting about that a bit.

But overall, my journal will be my personal venting space. There are a number romantic (?) events going on in my life right now and just generally complicated things that I have a need for an outlet for. I'm fairly secretive and a recovering compulsive liar. I suppose this is an effort to change how secretive I am while not yelling my secrets off the rooftops.

I have something of an online stalker so I prefer not to speak too much in-depth about myself publicly. Entries, of course, will be friends only. Let me know if you want to take a peek into each others lives by commenting here first.

(Slightly) new journal, new start, new friends? Hopefully? I'm Pixel or Pix, which ever you prefer, I'm 28, going on 29 in about 9 days. I can hardly believe it. I work at a warehouse so 12 hour shifts for 3 days straight has become my thing. But in my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my boyfriend, drawing, graphic and web design, writing and organizing (strange hobby but it's true). I have a very creative mind so it's always on and about with ideas for what to create next. I may indulge in photography. I enjoyed it before but other hobbies took place of it.

I also enjoy some fandoms. Dragon Ball (all anime), Naruto, Boruto, SVU, Pokemon, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Sailor Moon and working my way into Fallout — starting with 3. I'll always love and enjoy NCIS original and LA and all Star Trek series (yes Enterprise too, I did enjoy it) but they aren't active fandoms of mine. My fandom list is not huge but I do enjoy trying new anime or games out. But i do put emphasis on Pokemon. I've been a Pokenerd since I was 10 and I actively play PokemonGo and collect the cards across all tcg series! Brownie points if you love Pokemon too.

So my posts.. they tend to range anywhere from creative posts (like what I make, ideas of what to create), daily life ramblings, photos of daily life stuff, articles I find interesting, some fandom posts and what not. I don't have many posts on this one but I've been on elljay for years.

I'm not too horribly good at "advertising" myself to make new friends. I am introverted and quiet IRL but I can talk up a storm on here lol. I'm on LJ in hopes to make friends to talk to. I can't say I'm the most interesting person ever lol

- I love cats & have 2 boys, whom I love.

- I enjoy photography, music of almost every kind, traveling, outdoor activites, surfing the web, reading on my Kindle & many other hobbies. Harely Davidson cycles & hot rod/muscle cars with a hot man on/in them make me drool!

- I'm a cat volunteer at a local animal shelter. I do this about 3 times a week.

- I suffer from a few forms of mental illnesses, though I rarely write about it.

- I post various photos in my journal. Especially of my cats & random selfies & weight loss transition.
