Okay, so it's been a while since we've chatted.

Long story short, we have decided to revamp the project, start over if you will.

More than a year ago we decided that we wanted to start a project, a project where a group of people could come together and share their secrets. A community where you could feel free to write down your secrets on paper anonymously and then send them to someone else. We loved the idea so we started Midnight Confessions.

So many people were interested!!! It was wonderful and we were really excited, but then we started having all the problems online communities have; now a little wiser, with more experience, we want to start over.

So if you are still interested, still hanging in there, and want a chance to be one of the first people to get a book, please respond to this entry, or email us at: midnight_confessions248@yahoo.com

This time around we are going to keep the number of participants at a more manageable level, there will be a few changes, hopefully for the better. We want everyone to have a chance to contribute to a book so keep a few things in mind before you email us:

1. You have only a brief period of time in which to contribute to the book, this is a reasonable amount of time (it used to be 7 days, but this may be extended a bit) before you have to mail the book on
2. You must mail the book ontime, people are eagerly waiting to receive these books, and if you keep the book for a day or two...or eight, other people will be disappointed and the whole project slows down
3. We require that you pay for delivery confirmation (generally a couple of dollars at most) so we can track the book and make sure it is mailed ontime etc.


Those are the biggies, if you are still interested please email us. We are waiting to see how many people want to participate, once we know we will determine how many books to send out etc.

When you email us:

1. make sure you tell us your lj name,
2. include your home mailing address (if you don't think we have it)
3. tell us if you have any suggestions for improving the project
4. tell us if there are any specific themes you are interested in, or do general books make you happy


Also, we will be uploading some images soon, of a couple books we received in the last few months which have lots of cool and exciting images

Finally, if you are one of those people who still has a book, please contact us and we will give you our mailing address. Please mail them to us asap, no questions asked. Thanks ^_^

2.You have ten days to add a contribution to the book. (You may add more than one contribution).

3. When you mail the book on you must pay for delivery confirmation. Then you must email us the tracking number (from the delivery confirmation) the day you mail the book on.

The Pages Project:

In an attempt to encourage people to send in pages we have set some limits on the pages that we hope will encourage members to send in pages.

From June 11th-June 25th we will be accepting pages dealing with the subject of children (this can include your childhood, your children, your opinion about children etc.).

In order to encourage members to send in pages we are toying with the idea of giving those who send in pages, a small token of our appreciation i.e. a sticker pack, some decorative scrapbooking paper, or other items that can be used for alternate journaling. However if we reward people then we would need to know who was sending in pages.

So we would like members who are interested in sending in pages to let us know a few things:

a) would you like the pages sent in to remain anonymous (so there will be no reward like the one discussed above)

b) would like to receive a small reward and do not care about remaining anonymous

c) would encourage members by doing ______________ and allowing the project to remain anonymmous

d) do you like the idea of a theme for the pages?

e) do you like the idea of a time limit for the pages?

Hello, we have a few things to cover in this post.

First we need members for the Religion Alternate Book Project. At the moment we have a member working on the book but after the member is done with the book there is no one in line.

If you would like to work on the Religion Theme Book Project please send us an email asap. The first person who emails us will be the next person who receives the religion book. Other people who email us will be placed in line for the book in the order they email us.

We will post the newly updated Religion Book List in the next couple days.

Second, we cannot over emphasize the importance of communication. In order for the project to work you need to email us the day you receive the book, and the day you mail the book on by. If your real address or your email address changes email us asap.

Third, we need some feedback from the current members of the group.
Some questions:

A) How often do you check/read the Midnight Confessions community?
B) How do you think we could improve the project?
C) Do you have an idea about a new project that we could implement?
D) How do you think we could improve the Pages Project?
i) Have you ever sent in a page?
ii) Would you ever send in a page? Why or why not?
E) Do you think we update often enough/too often/not often enough?
F) What could we do to improve your experience with the project?

As of today several people have received books and are working on them! If you are one of those lucky people, please scan or take digital images of pages in the book and send them to us we love to receive images to post in the community.

A few things to note:

In the next couple of months we are going to send the books out to all the members currently on the book lists.
After we send books out to everybody on the current lists, we will need new members in the coming months. We are going to promote the project (after we are sure all current members have had a chance to contribute) however we also wanted to ask our members to promote the project in their journals or to real life friends. Additionally, we are looking for personal recommendations for members, so if you know someone who would be interested in contributing to the project and who would be a responsible member please tell them about the project, and let us know who you recommended.

(Even if you have contributed already we encourage you to remain a member and to sign up for more books, we love to receive contributions.)

When we started this project another altered book moderator told us that the first year was the hardest. A year later we're still here sending out books, and we hope we have all weathered the worst.

Hello all.

Today we emailed everybody who will be receiving a book in the next few weeks (we mailed out several books on Tuesday May 23rd).

We hope that everyone receiving a book is as excited about receiving the book, as we are about sending the books out. ^_^

Please send in pages while you are waiting to receive a book. To send in a page (any size or shape) decorate a page with a secret, confession etc. The page can be decorated in any way you like. Please remember to use our address as the return address so pages are anonymous(If you do not already have our address, and would like to have it please comment or email us and we will send it to you). We love to receive pages and you can send in as many as you want, any time you want.

Next, we created a community solely for viewing the images scanned from the Alternate/Theme Books and from the pages we receive. There are no lj-cuts used on this community. Please join and enjoy the images. ^_^
