July 18: Rally to save the Church of Most Holy Redeemer on East 3rd Street

Join the rally to save the magnificent Most Holy Redeemer Church on Saturday, July 18 at 12:00pm, at 173 East 3rd Street. Closed by the Archdiocese last September, this historic site may be under threat of demolition. Church parishioners, LESPI, EVCC, VP and concerned neighbors will all be attending to demand that the church be re-opened, and that the City landmark this beautiful building to save it for our and future generations.
Still celebrating: the landmarking of the Church of St. Mary on Grand Street in April!

On April 7 of this year, the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to designate the Church of St. Mary on Grand Street an Individual Landmark. In May, LESPI and the church parishioners joined for a wonderful celebration of the designation as well as the parish’s 200th anniversary. You can read more about it HERE. And we’re still celebrating!
