brand spanking new application post!
I'm a very busy little moderator today and right after that long ass summary is a brand new application post!
A pretty big difference now in applying, I'm sorry if you applied before and didn't get a response but I have been meaning to do the summary and new application post for a while. I'm just more motivated today. You DO need to apply again.
Rules for Applying:
1. Please read the FAQ (the old application post) before asking questions. If your question isn't answered then please don't be afraid to ask.
2. Also please read the summary of everything's happened from the backstory to the end of last major storyline. It's important that you know what's going on. Also check out the recent posts.
3. Check the character list. Make sure your character isn't taken. It's also a good way to find all the other characters' journals.
4. Please don't come to my personal journal with applications. Just be patient, I get all comments emailed to me, so I do get your applications.
5. If you're picked you're committing to the RP. If you think you can't do it anymore, that's ok. Just post here and tell me so I know. Please don't apply if you're just going to forget about the whole thing.
6. We don't allow Original Characters (made up ones), sorry. Choose a character from the character list and if they're not fully developed by the books, then make up a personality that you include in the application (background, example post).
7. Put 'deathly hallows' in as your subject line so I know you read the rules.
8. Do not try to join the community without being asked to. I won't accept. Only the accounts created for the RP by people who have been accepted will be allowed to join.
9. In the case of characters with a lot of applications and I can't pick, I'll ask for the other RP members to help out.
Application Form:
1. What is your actual name? (If you don't want to give it, that's ok, I just want a name that we can talk to you with)
2. What character do you want to apply for? (Character's full name, please)
3. What is the background of your character? (I just want to know if you know and understand the character, if it's a character that isn't explained much in the books I want evidence of a non-Mary Sue personality and a mention of how they were mentioned in the book)
4. Give an Example of how you'd post as the character. (Give a serious attempt that showcases how you see the character, it really is how I pick roles. I also really like it if you use current Amortentia events. Knowledge of the RP will get you lots of points. WINK WINK.)
Example of the wrong way to apply:
Hi, I'm Jessy. I'd like to apply for Hermione. But can you tell me what's happened so far?
Example of the right way to apply:
1. Jessy
2. Hermione Granger
3. (I'm leaving this out of my example because I'd probably start rambling)
4. I bet you think this is funny, then?
I've had this computer for what, two weeks and someone's already messing with it?
No, cut that. I know who it was. Who else is pathetic enough to put that kind of wallpaper on it?
Ronald Weasley, your mother's going to have a heart attack when she sees this.
Any questions? Just ask.
