We didn’t anticipate the demand for the Claude Startups program. We’ve received hundreds of thousands of applications over the past few days, and we’re currently over capacity on the Claude Team and $1,000 API credit offers. If you’ve already claimed the offer, nothing changes; you can use the offer in the account. We’re reshaping the Claude Startups program to ensure this initiative is of, by and for startup founders. This means that we’ll re-review all applications which may result in a change in the status of some applications, which we regret. All existing members will still have full access to the Startup Stack, Applied AI office hours and events, and if you’re on a Claude Max or Team plan, your monthly API credits are available in Console as usual.
No. The program is open to bootstrapped, pre-seed, and venture-backed startups. If you’re backed by a VC in our partner network, you may be eligible to receive up to $100K in additional API credits, claimed through your VC.

Yes. Members who receive credits through the program automatically get higher API rate limits.
No. Claude Startups credits apply to the first-party Claude API through Claude Console. They can’t be used on AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, or other third-party platforms.
No. As a member of our Claude for Startups program you are now eligible to redeem the offers in the console.
We aim to review every application within one week. You’ll get an email as soon as there’s a decision.
Applied AI office hours are 45-minute live sessions for members, held every other week. Accepted members get a link to register by email and in the Claude Startups portal.
