Le Modèle de Résonance Ontogénétique (MRO) propose une théorie novatrice visant à identifier et formaliser une fréquence fondamentale intrinsèque au début des processus de vie et de signification. Cette fréquence initiale agit comme un signal modal de résonance poursuivant l'individuation ontogénétique, structurante tant des phénomènes biologiques que des systèmes symboliques. L'article étend la problématique classique d'individuation au-delà des approches réduites, en articulant une dynamique ontologique et phénoménologique via des outils issus de la théorie des systèmes, de la biologie théorique, et de la philosophie critique. Le MRO révèle une structure oscillante originale qui soutient la formation et l'évolution des organismes et des significations, offrant une clé conceptuelle pour une interdisciplinarité renouvelée.

This article presents the analysis of the Polish preposition SPOD, based on the syntactic aspect of verbs used with SPOD, syntactic and semantic features of their nominal arguments, object classes and principles of the applicative and cognitive grammar. Examples of the use of the analysed preposition come from dictionaries and from the electronic corpus IPI PAN.

Patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) can develop severe uveitis. Although infectious and autoimmune causes must always be considered, drug induced uveitis is also an important etiology. Herein, we present two case reports illustrating the classical presentation of rifabutin and cidofovir induced uveitis. The first case was a 33 year old woman with AIDS treated with anti-protease and anti-tuberculosis drugs (including rifabutin). She presented with a red painful right eye. There was a strong anterior segment inflammation with fibrinous exudates and a dense vitritis. Rifabutin was stopped and topical steroids and mydriatics were given. Intraocular inflammation and symptoms rapidly resolved. The second patient was a 36 year old woman who presented with a painful decrease of vision in her left eye. Cet ouvrage présente les travaux du groupe d'experts réunis par l'Inserm dans le cadre de la procédure d'expertise collective, pour répondre aux questions posées par la Caisse nationale d'assurance maladie des travailleurs indépendants (Canam) sur le dépistage, la prise en charge et la prévention et du trouble des conduites chez l'enfant et l'adolescent. Il s'appuie sur les données scientifiques disponibles en date du premier semestre 2005. Plus de 1 000 articles et documents ont constitué la base documentaire de cette expertise. Le Centre d'expertise collective de l'Inserm a assuré la coordination de cette expertise collective avec le Département animation et partenariat scientifique (Daps) pour l'instruction du dossier, et avec le service de documentation du Département de l'information scientifique et de la communication (Disc) pour la recherche bibliographique.

Recently, non-invasive brain stimulation (NBS) has been discovered as a tool to improve human performance on a wide variety of tasks. Although these observations are highly intriguing, the underlying mechanisms of such enhancements are still poorly understood. Here, we argue that in order to advance our understanding of these mechanisms it is necessary to focus on intrinsic network dynamics in the brain. Taking into account well-known network dynamics, increased excitation in one particular network or brain region may necessarily lead to inhibition of an opposing network (and vice versa). As a consequence, observed behavioral improvements due to NBS may emerge from a shift in the balance between (competing) neural networks in the brain, implicating that behavioral enhancement due to stimulation most likely comes with a cost or side effect. We conclude that more elaborate experimental designs are essential for a better understanding of the relationship between network interactions and the behavioral effects of NBS.

Ce texte explore le rôle du sujet dans la théorie des savoirs situés de Donna J. Haraway et de Lorraine Code. Il examine la tension entre l'approche individualiste et l'approche collective dans les épistémologies féministes. Nous y soutenons que les savoirs situés permettent de concilier la dimension individuelle du sujet avec une perspective politique et collective, tout en évitant une critique anti-individualiste qui nierait l'agentivité personnelle. Cette approche offre des critères de responsabilité épistémique individuelle et s'intéresse plus aux actions du sujet qu'à son essence.

In this presentation, we give the keys, laws, principles, composition and logical and geometric syntax that presided over the Gothic architectural design process and the emergence of the built form of Gothic cathedrals, in particular the Basilica of Saint-Denis in France. In short, we're giving you the whole story behind the secret of the cathedrals, so sought-after for generations. With a bit of humour, we could tell readers that it's more stimulating than the film 'The Da Vinci Code' and, what's more, it's perfectly well founded scientifically.

Dans cette présentation faisant office de vulgarisation, nous donnons les clefs, lois, principes, composition et syntaxe logique et géométrique qui ont présidés au processus de conception architectural gothique ainsi qu'à l'émergence de la forme édifiée des cathédrales gothiques, en particulier de la Basilique de Saint-Denis en France. En somme, nous donnons ici dans sa globalité, le  secret des cathédrales tant recherché depuis des générations. Avec un peu d'humour, nous pourrions dire aux lecteurs et aux lectrices que c'est plus stimulant que le film "Da Vinci Code" et de plus, c'est parfaitement fondé scientifiquement.

Cet article fait appel aux écrits du philosophe Paul Ricoeur sur la question du sens et à ceux du sociologue Niklas Luhmann sur les systèmes de sens pour examiner si l’éthique est une utopie ou une visée actualisable. Comme les analyses menées par ces deux auteurs partagent un même ancrage dans la phénoménologie husserlienne, elles se prêtent à des croisements. Cette démarche nous permet non seulement d’en arriver à une réponse à la question posée ici, mais, surtout, elle nous amène à proposer deux impératifs pour l’éthique en éducation et en formation : prévenir contre les aveuglements causés par la binarité du code moral et contrer les excès du moralisme.

Cet article présente la méthode d'observation du projet MAN de l'accessibilité au numérique pour les personnes âgées. L'originalité de la méthode réside dans la mise en oeuvre de plusieurs outils d'observation (qualitatif et quantitatif) pour déterminer des indicateurs multimodaux résultant du croisement des données acquises. Nous présenterons la mise en oeuvre de cette méthode dans un environnement contrôlé de type Living Lab et nous illustrerons l'apport de notre méthode en donnant une illustration de l'apport de ces croisements dans la compréhension de l'observation de l'accessibilité à une application tactile pour un participant mal voyant.

Le present article propose de caracteriser la voix professorale en tant qu'outil pedagogique, pouvant faire l'objet d'une sensibilisation par la formation. Cette caracterisation prend comme point de depart les discours de six enseignants de langue, interviewes dans quatre contextes internationaux d'enseignement. Nous nous focalisons sur les fonctions de la voix, le comportement vocal et le « repertoire vocal ». Nos informateurs suggerent que la sensibilisation a l'usage de la voix est sous-traitee dans la formation. Nous proposons de concevoir la voix comme un outil (savoir-faire) et comme une voie de construction d'une identite enseignante propre (savoir-etre). En nous appuyant sur des travaux precurseurs, a la croisee entre la phonetique et la formation des enseignants, nous proposons une sensibilisation aux fonctions pedagogiques de sa voix propre a integrer dans les programmes de formation d'enseignants de langue.

NAIMIT (acronym for Natural Immune Modulation for Intervention in Type 1 Diabetes) is a large-scale collaborative programme of the 7th framework from the European Commission. The aim of the consortium is to bring together a group of leading European researchers spanning the field from genetics, through pancreatic beta-cell, dendritic cells and T-cell biology, towards clinical interventions. The ultimate goal is to develop novel and personalised interventional therapies in recent-onset type 1 diabetic patients, with minimal immune system interference, leading to beta-cell protection and restoration, based on a solid understanding of the disease pathogenesis, enabling experimental findings to be adopted for clinical applications.

L'étude de la langue française au nigérian n'a cessé d'étre confronter par des problèmes de transferts négatifs. Donc, l'objectif de cette étude vise à analyser des contraintes linguistiques de description et d'usage d'adjectifs qualificatifs français auxquelles font face les apprenants nigérians dans l'apprentissage du français langue étrangère. La méthodologie de cette étude est analytique et descriptive. Pour identifier cette interférence linguistique, un questionnaire a été employé pour cette enquête. La notion de capacité et l’attestation de la visée éthique occupent une place centrale dans les écrits herméneutiques et phénoménologiques de Paul Ricoeur, qui définit la visée éthique comme la visée d’une vie accomplie, avec et pour les autres, et dans des institutions justes. Par ailleurs, les études empiriques en psychologie morale insistent plutôt sur la prééminence des processus intuitifs, des automatismes et des émotions dans la genèse du jugement moral. À l’ère du numérique, prendre acte de ces deux perspectives suscite de nouveaux défis pour l’éthique en éducation.

The ‘diabetes of injury’ typically associated with critical illness has recently been thoroughly revisited and much better characterised following major therapeutic advances. The occurrence of severe hyperglycaemia, moderate hypoglycaemia or high glycaemic variability has been associated with an increased mortality and rate of complications in large independent cohorts of acutely ill patients. Hence, current guidelines advocate the prevention and avoidance of each of these three dysglycaemic domains, and the use of a common metrics for a quantitative description of dysglycaemic events, such as the proportion of time spent in the target glycaemic range as a unifying variable.  The organisation of four neural systems is described in the brains of three Afrotherians not previously studied  These systems are organised in a similar manner to other mammals.  There are features that reflect both phylogenetic and functional signals in the evolution of these neural systems.  The golden mole appears to be a "hyper-cholinergic" mammal, possessing cholinergic neurons in novel regions of the brain.

The early potential of the human eye is studied for a wide range of flash intensities, inducing early potentials from 0.3 to 1700 nV in amplitude. The ERP in response to white flashes begins with a cornea positive component (R ,) followed by a larger negative wave (RI). On repetitive stimulation the ERP amplitude is progressively reduced. From the decrement of Rz to the three first flashes it can be estimated that the destruction of 10% of the visual pigment of the dark-adapted eye produces an ERP of about 65 PV. The relation between the flash intensity and the amplitude of the early potential is linear from 0.3 (measured by averaging) to 140 nV. For higher values its amplitude is progressively saturated. An FPV of more than 100 nV amolitude leaves after bleaching an appreciable residual potential, which can be considered as a melanin FPV.

The ERP of the human eye is studied for violet, blue, green, yellow and red flashes produced with absorption filters. For isoenergetic flashes the amplitude of R, and of R, is maximum for the green flash. The R ,/Rz ratio however increases progressively from 0 to l/3 from violet to red flashes. The darkadaptation half-time of R, is 210 set for violet flashes, suggesting a dominant rod contribution for this color, 90 set for red flashes, indicating a dominant cone contribution, and 135 set for green flashes, corresponding to a mixed origin. The dark-adaptation half-time of R 1 is about 100 set, whatever the wavelength of the flash, which suggests a cone origin for this wave in the human eye.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common malignant adult primary brain tumor. Despite its high lethality, a small proportion of patients have a relatively long overall survival (OS). Here we report a study of a series of 74 GBM samples from 29 long-term survivors ([LTS] OS ≥36 months) and 45 non-LTS. Using next-generation sequencing, we analyzed genetic alterations in the genes most frequently altered in gliomas. Approximately 20% of LTS had a mutation in the IDH1 or IDH2 (IDH) genes, denoting the relevance of this molecular prognostic factor. A new molecular group of GBMs harbored alterations in ATRX or DAXX genes in the absence of driver IDH or H3F3A mutations. These patients tended to have a slightly better prognosis, to be younger at diagnosis, and to present frontal or temporal tumors, and, morphologically, to present giant tumor cells. The nuclear organization of the cholinergic, catecholaminergic, serotonergic and orexinergic systems in the brains of three species of strepsirrhine primates is presented. We aimed to investigate the nuclear complement of these neural systems in comparison to those of simian primates, megachiropterans and other mammalian species. The brains were coronally sectioned and immunohistochemically stained with antibodies against choline acetyltransferase, tyrosine hydroxylase, serotonin and orexin-A. The nuclei identified were identical among the strepsirrhine species investigated and identical to previous reports in simian primates. Moreover, a general similarity to other mammals was found, but specific differences in the nuclear complement highlighted potential phylogenetic interrelationships. It has traditionally been assumed that cochlear implant users de facto perform atypically in audiovisual tasks. However, a recent study that combined an auditory task with visual distractors suggests that only those cochlear implant users that are not proficient at recognizing speech sounds might show abnormal audiovisual interactions. The present study aims at reinforcing this notion by investigating the audiovisual segregation abilities of cochlear implant users in a visual task with auditory distractors. Speechreading was assessed in two groups of cochlear implant users (proficient and non-proficient at sound recognition), as well as in normal controls. A visual speech recognition task (i.e. speechreading) was administered either in silence or in combination with three types of auditory distractors: i) noise ii) reverse speech sound and iii) nonaltered speech sound. Cochlear implant users proficient at speech recognition performed like normal controls in all conditions, whereas non-proficient users showed significantly different audiovisual segregation patterns in both speech conditions. These results confirm that normal-like audiovisual segregation is possible in highly skilled cochlear implant users and, consequently, that proficient and non-proficient CI users cannot be lumped into a single group. This important feature must be taken into account in further studies of audiovisual interactions in cochlear implant users.

People with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have difficulties sustaining their attention on external tasks. Such attentional lapses have often been characterized as the simple opposite of external sustained attention, but the different types of attentional lapses, and the subjective experiences to which they correspond, remain unspecified. In this study, we showed that unmedicated children (ages 6-12) with ADHD, when probed during a standard go/no-go task, reported more mind blanking (a mental state characterized by the absence of reportable content) than did control participants. This increase in mind blanking happened at the expense of both focused and wandering thoughts. We also found that methylphenidate reverted the level of mind blanking to baseline (i.e., the level of mind blanking reported by control children without ADHD). In a multiple-target single-probe experiment on auditory memory, evidence was obtained for two different strategies of search, one being more efficient than the other both in terms of accuracy and rapidity. The result urges us to be cautious in the interpretation of experiments in which a large number of subjects low in accuracy are discarded in the screening phase.

The success of cancer immunotherapy with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) has demonstrated the importance of targeting a preexisting immune response in a broad spectrum of tumors. This is particularly novel and relevant for less immunogenic tumors, such as breast cancer (BC), where the efficacy of ICB was more evident in the triple-negative (TNBC) subtype, in earlier stages, and in association with chemotherapy. Tumors harboring homologous recombination DNA repair (HRR) deficiency (HRD) are supposed to have a higher number of mutations, hence a higher tumor mutational burden, which could potentially make them more sensitive to immunotherapy. However, the mechanisms involved in ICB sensitivity and patient selection are still yet to be defined in BC: whether the innate system could play a role and how the adaptive immunity could be linked with HRR pathways are the two key points of debate that we will discuss in this article. The aim of this review was to close the loop between what was found in clinical trial results so far, go back to laboratory theory and preclinical results and point out what needs to be clarified from now on.

L'Internet des Objets se traduit par une multitude d'objets connectés dotés de fonctions avancées pour l'automatisation et l'assistance aux personnes, soulevant des défis techniques, politiques, sociaux et économiques. L'apprentissage est lié à ces défis en plusieurs sens : si l'apprentissage machine contribue au fonctionnement des objets connectés, ces derniers stimulent en retour l'apprentissage humain en diversifiant les pratiques et les outils. Les méthodes d'apprentissage peuvent s'appuyer sur les récents travaux en neurosciences identifiant les ressorts cognitifs de l'apprentissage : l'attention, l'engagement, le retour d'informations et la consolidation. En outre, l'apprentissage s'est vu modifié par l'évolution technologique : après l'imprimerie, l'informatique et les télécommunications, l'Internet des Objets est un nouveau support d'information pour la transmission des savoirs. À partir de trois dimensions d'analyse (données, interfaces et pervasivité), nous proposons une classification des articulations possibles de l'Internet des Objets pour soutenir l'apprentissage. ABSTRACT. The Internet of Things encompasses a multitude of connected devices with advanced functions for the automation of tasks and assistance to individuals, raising technical, political, social and economic challenges. Learning is linked to these challenges in several ways: the machine learning development contributes to the functioning of connected devices, which in turn stimulate human learning by diversifying practices and tools. Learning methods can lean on recent works in neuroscience that identify cognitive resources for learning, such as attention, engagement, feedback and consolidation. In addition, learning has been modified by technological change: after printing, computing and telecommunications, the Internet of Things is a new information medium for knowledge transmission. Based on three dimensions (data, interfaces and pervasiveness), we propose a classification of possible articulations of the Internet of Things to support learning. The study of this relationship shows that the Internet of Things promotes exploration and experimentation, the setting up of authentic situations and the contextualization of learning. MOTS-CLÉS. Adhesion molecules play a central role in leukocyte adhesion to the blood-retinal barrier (BRB) during uveitis. VCAM-1 expression on the BRB has been already described but although structurally similar, ICAM-1 has shown in various autoimmunity models to have distinct role and expression. Here, we induced uveitis in C57Bl/6 mice by adoptive transfer of semi-purified T cells from IRBP1-20-immunized mice. Using Flow cytometry analysis on transferred cells and immunofluorescence staining on retina we have studied the comparative ocular expression of both ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 and their ligands LFA-1 and VLA-4 at the surface of uveitogenic cells. Our results showed that LFA-1 and VLA-4 are expressed on both T and non T cells, VLA-4 sparsely and LFA-1 ubiquitously. Considering retinal expression, ICAM-1 is faintly present and VCAM-1 is absent in naive eyes. Only ICAM-1 is present on infiltrating cells in the retina and vitreous, while only VCAM-1 extends to perivascular glial cells and all along the internal limiting membrane. Finally, ICAM-1 is strongly expressed on the RPE, where VCAM-1 expression is much weaker. VCAM-1 seems most strongly expressed on the internal BRB while ICAM-1 predominates on the external BRB. Those major differences in the expression pattern could represent differential entry pathways for inflammatory cells to penetrate the eye.

Quite often, the interferences remain asymptomatic, restricted to a saccadic pursuit, hypometric saccades or an end-point nystagmus. Sometimes however, symptoms of dizziness or oscillopsia appear, due to loss of the vestibulo-ocular reflexes efficiency. A diplopia or a blurred vision by double outline could be suggestive of an ocular motor paresis or a loss of the binocular fusion due to drugs action. La biochimie des systèmes oculomoteurs et donc, les mécanismes d'action des facteurs médicamenteux d'interférence ne sont pas complètement élucidés. De nombreux médicaments altèrent les mouvements oculaires au niveau de leur ajustement fins par des systèmes de rétrocontrôle impliquant le cervelet. Le plus souvent cette interférence reste asymptomatique, se manifestant par une poursuite oculaire saccadée, des saccades hypométriques ou un nystagmus du regard excentré. Quelquefois cependant des symptômes de vertiges ou d'oscillopsies apparaissent par altération de l'efficacité des réflexes vestibulo-oculaires. Une diplopie ou une vision floue par double contour traduisent une parésie oculomotrice ou une perte de la fusion binoculaire.

Consumption of caffeine, a non-selective adenosine A2A receptor (A2AR) antagonist, reduces the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease (AD) in humans and mitigates both amyloid and Tau burden in transgenic mouse models. However, the impact of selective A2AR blockade on the progressive development of AD-related lesions and associated memory impairments has not been investigated. In the present study, we removed the gene encoding A2AR from THY-Tau22 mice and analysed the subsequent effects on both pathological (Tau phosphorylation and aggregation, neuro-inflammation) and functional impairments (spatial learning and memory, hippocampal plasticity, neurotransmitter profile). We found that deleting A2ARs protect from Tau pathology-induced deficits in terms of spatial memory and hippocampal long-term depression. The oldest is that of information, but since the Second World War, the "cyber world" has become another means of dominance and conflict. These two worlds - informational warfare and cyberwarfare - have forged close links, maintaining certain superimpositions in what is known as the "virtual" field superimposed on the "material" field. One often uses the tools of the other, and vice versa, so that the boundaries between the two fields disappear to become no more than a difference in point of view. This convergence increases the "fog" of war. It gives it a shade of ambiguity, falsity and mass or targeted manipulation. Cognitive science is a recent field of research into the human mind and thought, and is characterized by the complementarity of different disciplines: linguistics, psychology and analytical philosophy, biology and neuroscience, computer science, AI and modeling. Cognitive warfare is the application of cognitive sciences to the field of warfare, and thus, alongside the fields of the "material" and the "virtual", it opens up a new field of the war: the human "cognition".
