Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.

Si cette langue semble aujourd’hui nous échapper, de plus en plus - y compris à ses locuteurs - elle ne s’en épanouit pas moins à l’écrit, faisant preuve d’une vigueur et d’une ductilité dont nos contemporains peuvent tirer profit, qu’ils soient chercheurs ou enseignants, locuteurs ou spécialistes, lecteurs ou écrivains.

Addressing poverty in the long eighteenth century, organized by Damiano Bardelli (EHESS, CRH-GEHM/University of Oxford, Visiting Researcher at the Voltaire Foundation) with the support of the Voltaire Foundation and the Swiss National Science Foundation, aims to shed light on the innovations introduced by Enlightenment reformers in the way of understanding and addressing poverty, and thus to highlight their role in the emergence of the conceptual framework of the social question in the 19th century.

AI and Ideologies: Navigating between Digital Capitalism and Illiberal theories
Over the past decade, scholarship on digital authoritarianism has rapidly expanded, highlighting how governments and political actors increasingly appropriate digital technologies to surveil, discipline, and mobilize populations. While much of this work has focused on state-driven practices of control, censorship, and surveillance, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI)—and more recently, generative AI systems—has introduced us to a new terrain on which ideological struggles play out. Beyond the familiar logics of repression and manipulation, AI is being instrumentalized by political actors, intellectual entrepreneurs, and transnational networks who seek to frame, deploy, and reorient AI in line with illiberal worldviews.

The symposium aims to paint a portrait of Mediterranean prefects in the contemporary era (19th-21st centuries), focusing on the following (non-exclusive) questions: What backgrounds do ‘Mediterranean’ administrative elites come from? What determines their success (or failure) in terms of their careers? Is there a culture, practice and professional identity specific to these Mediterranean prefects? How are the links between these prefects and local elites manifested?

Two-year contract, full-time postdoc fellowship in sociology of education, within the framework of the ERC-Consolidator BildungLearning project n°101043433 (https://bildunglearning.be/). The main objective of this project is to compare the modern philosophy of Bildung and the contemporary paradigm of the Learning Society (LS) by systematically analyzing their homological structures. Through this comparison, we aim to expose the important conceptual mutations of the ideal of educational autonomy occurring from the first paradigm to the latter This research combines history of philosophy and political philosophy. Through an analysis of political-educational narratives, we want to examine if the great narratives of the philosophical modernity – such as emancipation through self-cultivation – have become totally obsolete or ineffective, or if and how far they continue to be operating in current discourses under critical and fragmented forms.

La pensée du cinéma de Gilles Deleuze est une boîte à outils pour comprendre notre temps, les films qui s’y inventent comme les images qui le peuplent. Le diptyque composé de L’Image-mouvement (1983) et de L’Image-temps (1985) possède en effet une véritable actualité pour nous qui le lisons aujourd’hui. Ce colloque international aimerait montrer la variété des usages que l’on peut en faire, dans la diversité des cinématographies qu’il nous invite à explorer. Il renouvelle également la critique des médias, et nous conduit à avoir un regard distancié avec la fabrique de l’information et les stratégies contemporaines de propagande audiovisuelle.

Ce numéro de l'ARSE a pour objectif d’apporter des éléments de réponse à ces questions et de susciter de nouvelles réflexions sur l’enseignement « non ordinaire » des sciences de la nature à l’école, du XIXe siècles à nos jours, en France comme à l’étranger.

Nos sociétés contemporaines sont traversées par un ensemble de changements, aussi bien sociaux que politiques ou culturels, qui ont chacun des conséquences (directes ou indirectes) sur les pratiques physiques et sportives. Cette XIe Biennale de l’AFRAPS propose de réfléchir, dans une approche interdisciplinaire, à la manière dont les individus, les institutions et les territoires s’adaptent, résistent ou réinventent leurs rapports aux activités physiques et au sport face aux bouleversements contemporains. Les contributions attendues pourront relever aussi bien de la recherche empirique que d’une approche théorique ou critique.

Cinquante ans après la mort du dictateur Francisco Franco, les Universités d’Alicante, Champollion (campus d’Albi), Autonome de Barcelone, Carlos III de Madrid, UNED, et la Fondation Francisco Largo Caballero organisent un symposium international qui se tiendra les 20 et 21 novembre à Alicante, puis à Albi les 26 et 27 novembre. Pendant quatre jours, dix-sept spécialistes se pencheront sur les mouvements politiques, syndicaux, sociaux et culturels qui ont œuvré pour une Espagne démocratique et pleinement intégrée à l’Europe occidentale. Notre objectif est d’établir un bilan et en même temps d’ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives sur l’ensemble de ces mouvements ayant accompagné l’Espagne clandestine qui, soutenue par l’Espagne exilée en France, posa les premières pierres de la nouvelle démocratie espagnole.

Dans un contexte mondial marqué par la recomposition des rapports de force, les résistances en Afrique prennent des formes diverses – qu’elles soient politiques, économiques, sociales, culturelles ou épistémiques. Ces résistances ne se limitent pas à l’opposition frontale aux États ou aux puissances étrangères, mais incluent aussi des formes subtiles, infrapolitiques ou symboliques d’action, souvent invisibilisées. Cet atelier propose d’explorer les multiples dimensions de la résistance : mouvements sociaux, mobilisations citoyennes, luttes territoriales, contestations des formes néocoloniales du savoir, résistances écologiques, mais aussi résistances à l'intérieur même des institutions. Il s’agira de penser les échelles (individuelle, collective, locale, transnationale), les temporalités (immédiates ou inscrites dans le temps long), ainsi que les registres d’action (légal, illégal, symbolique, artistique, numérique…). À la croisée des études postcoloniales, de la sociologie politique, de l’histoire sociale et des cultural studies, l’atelier vise à articuler les formes empiriques de la résistance avec les cadres conceptuels contemporains

- Écologies de la résistance : luttes environnementales, écoféminismes, activismes contre l’extractivisme.

Orléans) voudrait, par l’étude de différents cas, mener une réflexion collective sur les rapports des femmes à l’écriture et à la publication en tant qu’ils s’insèrent dans des relations de parenté, qu’ils fabriquent des héritages familiaux, voire un patrimoine littéraire.
