Visual Media

Research aims to representation the application of audio-visual media including planning, implementation and evaluation, inhibiting and supporting factors. This type of research is qualitative. Data collection: interviews, observation, documentation. The validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. Data analysis techniques: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, data verification. The results of the study (1) the application of audio-visual media include: planning carried out well, audio-visual media contained in the RPP, the implementation has been carried out quite well, the infrastructure facilities in the classroom are inadequate, the evaluation has been carried out quite well, the end of the questioning but evaluation of the use of audio visual media has not been implemented. (2) Factors supporting the easy access of the internet to obtain material and the inhibiting factors for the use of audio-visual media are inadequate infrastructure.

Historically, Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) students at Saint Louis University were only introduced to key terms and concepts associated with qualitative research design. In order to expand content in this area and offer MLS students the option to perform a qualitative study as their senior research project, a nontraditional approach to introducing qualitative design through experiential learning was developed. The process begins with a series of introductory qualitative research terms and concepts. This innovative approach, known as the "Lights, Camera, Action!" model, allows students to then work in groups to identify a favorite medical television show and determine a suitable qualitative research question that can be answered in part by viewing the show. Students perform a literature review, determine quality criteria, develop a research matrix, and collect data by purposefully observing the television show. To triangulate the data, additional data collection strategies are determined by the group and subsequently employed. Students use traditional manual coding strategies to analyze the data obtained. Analysis of the data, conclusions, and recommendations for further research are determined by the group. This project culminates in a group presentation of their study to the class. Feedback collected to date about the experience is overwhelmingly positive and supports the continued use of this innovative pedagogical strategy in the future. This poster details the sequence of steps involved in this innovative model along with a summary of feedback obtained to date and a section dedicated future directions.

    This study aims to examine the effect of visual learning media on science learning outcomes for fifth grade students at MI Nurul Falah Citeureup. This research method uses a pre-experimental design. The research sample was 20 students consisting of 13 male students and 7 female students. The data collection technique used pre and post test with t test analysis. The results showed that the application of visual learning media in science subjects could improve student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the average IPA pretest score of 62, while the posttest average score of 83.25. Likewise, the calculation results obtained by t count of 7.04 > t table 2.10, thus t count > t table, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of visual learning media on science learning outcomes. Como resultado de una monografía reciente sobre Políticas étnicas: entre el etnocidio y los derechos humanos (2025) con una selección altamente representativa de la población mundial (56,24%), considero de interés adelantar algunas reflexiones acerca de las tendencias, desafíos y perspectivas a nivel continental. En este caso Oceanía es el quinto paso para otros trabajos que deben sintetizar diversas cuestiones sobre la aplicación de políticas étnicas y la atención de los respectivos estados nacionales por la diversidad de su población y sus derechos, junto con la situación migratoria, medioambiental, laboral y cultural de esta parte del mundo. De manera operativa, se ha dividido el territorio en las siguientes áreas: Australia, Melanesia, Micronesia y Polinesia. Esto permite deslindar sus peculiaridades, contextos y diferencias entre los diversos países y regiones. Se valoran las tendencias no solo en su regularidad sino en su dinámica cambiante, los desafíos como planteamientos de problemas que pueden representar puntos de partida para su solución y las expectativas como ventanas de oportunidades para transformar realidades hostiles en posibilidades para el mejoramiento humano y la convivencia social mediante un desarrollo sostenible y compartido.

Information and communication technology (ICT) contributes significantly to the optimization of the promotional design. QR-Code is one of the technologies that can improve promotional media to be more informative and interactive, especially visual media. The various information embedded in the QR-Code can provide varied impressions to the user. On many occasions, QR-Code can even direct to transactions. Some teachers still use conventional learning, as well as in media use, still use books, blackboards and rarely use audiovisual media, which causes students to feel bored, and make learning more monotonous, the emergence of this problem is caused by the many teachers who do not use audiovisual media, the purpose of this consideration is to describe the results of research using audiovisual media in learning Arabic, with the literature review method. by describing the results of research using audiovisual media in learning Arabic. The results of this research are that the use of audio visual media that from the Maharah Lughawiyah aspect is very important, and the use of audiovisual media from its effectiveness aspect, that the use of audiovisual media in learning is very effective. Every student generally has multiple intelligences with different level, one of which is visual-spatial intelligence shown by the ability to visualize an object. To acquire this kind of intelligence one can utilize media. This research, aiming at developing such a media, uses ADDIE model which is designed based on printed media which then followed by designing the electronic ones. Subjects of the research are 9 students selected by random technique. The research result electronic quiz media which can be utilized by students in interpreting 3D objects into 2D ones or vice versa.

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengembangan media visual untuk pembelajaran Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Menggunakan metode studi literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai sumber tertulis yang relevan untuk memahami konsep, tahapan pengembangan, dan efektivitas media visual dalam pembelajaran PAUD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media visual memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa PAUD. Pengembangan media visual meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan, desain, pengembangan, evaluasi, implementasi, dan penyebaran. Manfaat media visual mencakup peningkatan daya serap, pemahaman konsep, kreativitas, pengalaman belajar, daya ingat, dan motivasi belajar.

Penggunaan media visual dalam pembelajaran telah menjadi salah satu cara yang efektif untuk
meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa. Dalam artikel ini, dibahas mengenai
pentingnya media visual, seperti gambar, grafik, video, dan infografis, dalam mendukung proses
pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis
dampak penggunaan media visual terhadap hasil belajar siswa di berbagai jenjang pendidikan.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dan observasi terhadap
penerapan media visual dalam konteks pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa penggunaan media visual dapat mempercepat pemahaman materi pelajaran,
meningkatkan daya tarik pelajaran, serta meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa. Dengan
demikian, media visual dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alat bantu yang penting dalam
mengoptimalkan pembelajaran.

Dissemination is one of the efforts that can be done to increase knowledge about dental and oral health maintenance. The use of dissemination aids is something that needs to be considered, such as the use of visual and audio visual media. This type of dissemination can be applied to various targets, but is more focused on groups of elementary school children. This study is a systematic review conducted by reviewing 10 articles published from 2018-2020, and aims to obtain a comparison between using visual and audio-visual as media for dissemination on dental and oral health maintenance on the level of knowledge of elementary school children. This research aimed (1) to create a learning media of sequence and series through media of website-based visual novel game which then could be used as a guideline to develop similar learning media, (2) to identify quality of game media which was observed from three aspects as validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Lekok, where specifically the subjects of research were taken from class 9A in approximately 32 students. This study aims to reveal: (1) the effect of visual media projection with Power Point on Economics learning outcomes, (2) the effect of students’ learning interest on their Economics learning outcomes, (3) the interaction between media used and learning interest students’ Economics learning outcomes in MAN 2 Batusangkar. The literature on childhood involves various appraisals of childhood discourses fromvarious disciplines. The romantic view of passive children as needing affection andprotection is contrasted to the critical view of children that suggests defining children asempowered and active social agents. While these discourses of childhood are visible throughthe medium of written language, the elements of the discourses mediated through the visualimages remain uncovered. In addressing this gap in the literature, this study presents aqualitative appraisal of children's visual images in newspapers and education textbooks. Thestudy employs techniques from documentary research and offers a hybridized analysiscombining constructionist approaches and content analysis of visual materials. Traces ofdominant childhood discourses have been observed in the visual images of childrenappearing in selected newspapers and education textbooks.

The paper attempts to provoke thought about new frontiers of visual knowledge organization. Computers introduce the possibility of interchangeable media. This research is a class action research that aims to improve volleyball underhand passing skills through Audio Visual learning media for fourth grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Rappokalling I Makassar City. This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students at, totaling 25 students. There were 14 male students and 11 female students. The technique of collecting data is by testing and observation. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study show that learning through audio-visual media can improve lower passing skills in volleyball games in class IV students. Molding and casting faces, hands, and feet were part of the various knowledge-making strategies of anthropologists since the 19th century. This study focuses on a collection of facial masks obtained by the German anthropologist Otto Finsch from live subjects of native people from Oceania and held by the Museo de La Plata, Argentina. We’ve analysed the materials, archives, and catalogues; also, oral testimonies of museum workers that were in contact with this collection. Firstly, we revise how these masks came to be, how they were acquired by this museum, how they were exhibited and what happened with them after they were removed from the exhibition. Second, we remark on some points of discussion around this collection on the assumption that these materials represent scientific heritage that not only accounts for the history of anthropology and the context in which it was constituted but that it is also feasible to be reactivated into new narratives.


El moldeado y vaciado de rostros, manos y pies formó parte de las diversas estrategias de conocimiento de los antropólogos desde el siglo XIX. Este estudio se centra en una colección de máscaras faciales obtenidas por el antropólogo alemán Otto Finsch a partir de sujetos vivos de pueblos nativos de Oceanía y conservadas en el Museo de La Plata, Argentina. Analizamos los materiales, archivos y catálogos; también, testimonios orales de trabajadores del museo que estuvieron en contacto con esta colección. En primer lugar, revisamos cómo surgieron estas máscaras, cómo fueron adquiridas por este museo, cómo fueron exhibidas y qué sucedió con ellas después de que fueron retiradas de la exposición. En segundo lugar, comentamos algunos puntos de discusión en torno a esta colección partiendo del supuesto de que estos materiales representan un patrimonio científico que no sólo da cuenta de la historia de la antropología y el contexto en el que se constituyó, sino que también es factible de ser reactivado en nuevas narrativas.

This research analysed 48 interviews with professional photographers that were recorded as part of The Photo Ethics Podcast, an annual podcast series run by the Photography Ethics Centre since 2020. Through a thematic analysis of their insights, this research draws out eight lessons that can help to foster a deeper understanding of the ethical considerations in photography.

The first miscellanies in England, from Tottel's Miscellany (1557) and the Mirrour for Magistrates (1559), on up to the Miscellany Poems, by the most eminent hands published by Tonson and Dryden (1684), The Miscellaneous Works of the late Earls of Rochester and Roscommon; to which is added a curious collection of original poems by the Earl of Dorset, Devonshire, Buckinghamshire (1707) and the Miscellaneous poems and translations by several hands, also called Lintot's Miscellany or Pope's Miscellany (1712)all of them either directly reproduce or imitate manuscript collections of verse circulated among members of a coterie or a family. Handwritten miscellanies-commonplace books-appropriate verse from authors. The compilers whose names appear on the manuscript often fail to attribute poems or misattribute them and then put them to the compilers', coterie's, or family's own uses, retitling them for example "to conform to conventional situations" (Marotti 52). Poems were revised in the process of being copied (sometimes from memory, the copyist having heard the poem read aloud) or in the process of being circulated among friends and family. Coterie culture does not sharply distinguish readers from writers. In manuscript circulation, it is difficult to see where one author ends and another begins: "the concept of authenticity is not applicable," Stallybrass and De Grazia write, "to what must be imagined as, [to quote Stephen Orgel,] an `unstable and infinitely revisable script'" (260). Thus, Marotti points out that a section of the Arundel Harington manuscript is entitled, "Certayne verses made by unceratyen autors, wrytten out of Charleton his booke" (Marotti 14). Experts apply their experience to the proper development of their routine activities. Their acquired expertise or professionalization is expected to help in the development of those recurring tasks. Media professionals spend their daily work watching narrative contents on screens, so learning how they manage visual perception of those contents could be of interest in an increasingly audiovisual society. Media works require not only the understanding of the storytelling, but also the decoding of the formal rules and presentations. We recorded electroencephalographic (EEG) signals from 36 participants (18 media professionals and 18 non-media professionals) while they were watching audiovisual contents, and compared their eyeblink rate and their brain activity and connectivity. We found that media professionals decreased their blink rate after the cuts, suggesting that they can better manage the loss of visual information that blinks entail by sparing them when new visual information is being presented. Cuts triggered similar activation of basic brain processing in the visual cortex of the two groups, but different processing in medial and frontal cortical areas, where media professionals showed a lower activity. Effective brain connectivity occurred in a more organized way in media professionals-possibly due to a better communication between cortical areas that are coordinated for decoding new visual content after cuts.

This article explores whether there are differences in visual perception of narrative between theatrical performances and screens, and whether media professionalization affects visual perception. We created a live theatrical stimulus and three audio-visual stimuli (each one with a different video editing style) having the same narrative, and displayed them randomly to participants (20 media professionals and 20 non-media professionals). For media professionals, watching movies on screens evoked a significantly lower spontaneous blink rate (SBR) than looking at theatrical performances. Media professionals presented a substantially lower SBR than non-media professionals when watching screens, and more surprisingly, also when seeing reality. According to our results, media professionals pay higher attention to both screens and the real world than do non-media professionals.

Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kompetensi sikap peserta didik pada tingkat satuan pendidikan menengah atas, dalam bidang pendidikan karakter, yang diharapkan memberi kontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas belajarnya. Pentingnya kegiatan adalah agar seluruh peserta didik mampu mempresentasikan keteladan hidup sebagai orang beriman ditengah-tengah masyarakatnya sesuai dengan iman yang dianutnya. Hasil aktivitas pendampingan yaitu: 1) Model pembinaan kepribadian yang diterapkan guru jadi lebih bervariatif, 2) Orangtua (wali) partisipan didik bisa mengenali pertumbuhan kepribadian anaknya disekolah sepanjang terletak di luar jam pengawasannya, serta 3) Bertambahnya pengetahuan serta pemahaman untuk partisipan didik tentang berartinya pembinaan kepribadian untuk dirinya sendiri sepanjang ia terletak dalam proses pembelajaran di masa saat ini yang hendak tiba serta seterusnya. "CALISTUNG" refers to the achievement of children on reading, writing, and counting. "CALISTUNG" becomes one indicator for the children on their development in the first grade of elementary school. Commonly, the children on this grade will have much time in the home with their mother, in which, the mother needs to look the development of them in order they have well achievement on "CALISTUNG". For this case, the achievement will be a benefit for the children to enrich as well as develop their knowledge for the future. Thus, an appropriate strategy from the mother is needed to improve the achievement of children, whereas it is one indicator. By having this program, the team tried to describe an appropriate strategy for the mother in developing as well as improving the achievement of "CAL-ISTUNG" based on visual media, in which, it is focused to the mother's community at Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan. This program is taken based on workshop method, it gives the material in developing and improving achievement of the children on "CALISTUNG" based on visual media. The result shows that there is an effective achievement of the audiences to maximal in the using of visual media in improving the achievement of children on "CALISTUNG". Hence, they can have the maximal using of an appropriate visual media to manage the development of their children on "CALISTUNG, whereas they gets the media based on children needs.

This is a developing research of learning media which aimed to create media of audio visual for the practicum of colloid and to get quality score of the media. The creating of the media has been consulted by two experts of media and three peer reviewers. The research instrument is questionnaire that contains aspects and criteria of quality scoring. The scoring had been given by five chemistry teachers at excellent senior high school. The result of the research is a audio visual media which burnt on CD. It contains practicum about making of colloid by disperse method and condentation method. Based on the scoring from reviewer 1, the media is classified to good quality with the mean score is 138.5. The media is classified to very good quality by scoring from reviewer 2. By testing in classroom, colloid learning by using audio visual media gives more satisfy result than learning without the media.

This study aims to improve 3rd grade students’ science learning outcomes bylearning to use visual multimedia. This research method uses classroom actionresearch. The subject of this research was the third grade students of secondsemester of elementary school which conducted 30 students. Based on theresults of research by using visual media, it have been found that theimprovement learning outcome, seen from the initial average score before theaction of 3rd grade class students from 65.5 to 83.83. This article offers practical guidance for educators as they prepare specialists to enhance the lives and communities of older persons through the strategic use of visual media in age-related courses. Advantages and disadvantages of this leaming innovation are provided as well as seven approaches for enriching instruction. Resources are included for locating effective visual media, matching course content with video resources, determining fair use of copyrighted media, and inserting video clips into PowerPoint presentations. Strategies for accessing assistive services for implementing visual media in the classroom are also addressed. This article promotes the use of visual media for the purpose of enriching gerontological and geriatrics instruction for the adult leamer.

One significant reason for the low motivation among students is the lack of creative media in the learning process. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of audio-visual media in enhancing learning motivation in the Indonesian language subject for Grade III at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This field research, conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Ma’had An Nur Bantul, employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification, with source triangulation ensuring data validity. The study's findings include the implementation of contextual teaching methods, delivery of Indonesian language material using concrete objects aided by audio-visual media, and positive student responses to these methods. The application of contextual teaching in the Indonesian language subject for Grade III led to students discovering the meaning of learning through direct experiences, becoming more active in learning, and showing significant development in literacy skills. This study underscores the importance of incorporating creative media, particularly audio-visual aids, to enhance student motivation and engagement in the learning process.

    This study aims to examine the effect of visual learning media on science learning outcomes for fifth grade students at MI Nurul Falah Citeureup. This research method uses a pre-experimental design. The research sample was 20 students consisting of 13 male students and 7 female students. The data collection technique used pre and post test with t test analysis. The results showed that the application of visual learning media in science subjects could improve student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the average IPA pretest score of 62, while the posttest average score of 83.25. Likewise, the calculation results obtained by t count of 7.04 > t table 2.10, thus t count > t table, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of visual learning media on science learning outcomes. By focusing attention on the ways that the media manifold fosters visual practices of presentational work for Generation Z, this article examines the active and relational nature of youth’s engagement with visual self-images during the transition between high school and university. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 35 youth between the ages of 15–22, the analysis examines how the relational contexts of family, school, and peers, alongside the socioeconomic and gendered dimensions of young people’s everyday lives work to shape the different ways that youth engage in visual processes of becoming; in terms of becoming who they are and who they want themselves to be. The study was aimed at redefining the learning of language and literature from the perspective of media use in the lesson planning and implementation and students’ responses towards language and literature learning. The subjects of the study were teachers and students of state junior high schools in a regency in Yogyakarta Province. The subjects were taken in three stages, first, with the cluster technique: the eastern, western, central, and northern zones, and second, with the school strata technique: as excellent, moderate, and low.
