insect technique (SIT) may be a standard component of area-wide integrated pest management (AW-IPM) programs. SIT-based strategies have been particularly effective against dipteran pests, such as the new world Screwworm (NWS). It is one of the most destructive pests of cattle, costing farmers millions of dollars each year. For area-wide integrated pest management (AW-IPM) programs that include the SIT, ionizing radiation is now the technique of choice for making screwworms reproductively sterile. We also offer successful SIT applications against new world screwworms and a description of the primary technological components of SIT that may be combined to successfully oversee screwworms, which is critical for field application.

To increase crop productivity and soil fertility, biochar can be applied to the soil. Biochar is a solid carbon-rich product produced from biomass of agricultural crop residues, wastes, and wood, through pyrolysis in an oxygen-deficient condition. Carbon sequestration through biochar is important because of its potential applications in recycling wastes, retaining nutrients in the soil and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. In this review, we explore the various applications of biochar to ensure the safe and sustainable improvement of soil fertility. This review provides an overview of biochar properties, production technology, and its employment in the agriculture. This review would be a useful resource for researchers, farmers, and academics who are interested in the utilization of biochar.

Insect pests are the forcing barrier for crop production worldwide. Of those insects, lepidoptera... more Insect pests are the forcing barrier for crop production worldwide. Of those insects, lepidopteran forms a major group of pests damaging from larval, pupal to adult stages. A leaf-mining insect i.e., Tuta absoluta of the lepidopteran group is a serious pest of tomato throughout the globe. The widespread outreach resulting from this challenging pest posed a great threat in every habituated continent recently. The extensive infestations fortified by feeding grubs on tomato and other Solanaceous crops have unprecedented economic losses of the yield. Due to the entophytic nature of the pest, it makes growers difficult to manage the tomato leaf miner pest. So, every approach is to be foreseen to manipulate the pest environment not favoring them for survival, multiplication, and growth. Tomato is attacked by several pests, howsoever a leaf mining insect i.e., Tuta absoluta of the lepidopteran group is a serious pest of tomato throughout the globe. The widespread outreach resulting from this challenging pest posed a great threat in every habituated continent recently. The extensive infestations are fortified by feeding grubs on tomato and other Solanaceous crops have unprecedented economic losses of the yield. Due to the entophytic nature of the pest, it makes cultivators difficult to manage the tomato leaf miner pest. So, every approach is to be foreseen to manipulate the pest environment not favoring them for survival, multiplication, and growth. The increasing population demands more food items, ultimately prompting abuse of our resources. Additionally, the unsystematic usage of antibiotics, anti-toxins, anthelmintic, and synthetic acids in livestock farming has represented an unbelievable degree of wellbeing peril to humans. With much admittance to education and learning, safe and healthy food is preferred by the soaring populaces. Food from animal sources like poultry meat, generally organic, is supposed to serve the worldwide interest. In light of this, organic poultry farming is likely to become a fastgrowing industry in the coming days. Instead of intensive poultry, organic poultry meat is always demanding in the market due to higher consumer preferences. Likewise, the market price involved for such food is also higher due to the main issues taken for the production framework. The organic production system for poultry birds comprises strict sets of organic standards to be followed by organic poultry farmers. Different management issues such as health, hygiene, feeding, diseases, housing etc., are to be foreseen for utmost results during the production cycle. Better production practices improve poultry health and performance that benefits both the producers and the consumer without compromising poultry health and welfare. This review aims to delineate the pertinent data, including key necessities, current status, possibilities, and consumer discernment, and conclusively highlight the barriers to organic poultry production.
