Degraded performance of some of our reports and email notifications
Update - Our technical team has fixed the issues with submission log emails. All members should now be receiving submission log emails for their submissions. In addition, our team has fixed depositor reports (for journals, books, and series).

We're still working to fully restore a few other reports/tools: browsable title list, conflict reports, and the PubMed IDs search functionality in the Simple Text Query form. -IF

Update - We are continuing to work to fully restore all of our reports (e.g., browsable title list, conflict reports, depositor reports). In addition, we have identified errors with submission logs being sent as a result of your deposits. These errors are also related to our database migration earlier this week.

We are still processing your deposits. Submission processing is not broken; it is only the missing emails that are an issue. We are working to fix the bug resulting in missing emailed submission logs. As an alternative, you can always use our admin tool to review your recent submissions. Identified - As a result of our database migration - https://status.crossref.org/incidents/v3k2t9f3jdcw - some of our reports (e.g., browsable title list, conflict reports, depositor reports) have not yet been fully restored. Our technical team is working to fully restore those reports now.

Scheduled - We have refactored how REST API relationships are stored in Elasticsearch and will be reindexing affected records.

During a window of about 6 hours, relationships between about 300,000 records will be unavailable. Queries using the `has-update` filter will not return the full list of expected records until the partial reindex is complete.

The maintenance window opens at 1000 UTC and closes at 1600 UTC.

Upcoming downtime to complete database migration
Completed - The scheduled maintenance has been completed and deposit processing has been restored. We do expect an increase in the volume of submissions into our system over the next 24 to 48 hours, so submission processing could be slower than normal as a result.

Scheduled - We will be undergoing scheduled maintenance from Monday, 16 September 21:00 UTC to Tuesday, 17 September 21:00 UTC. The migration will require complete downtime, during which most Crossref services will be unavailable. Attempts to access these services, including making a metadata deposit, will receive a 500 error message, and you will need to retry when services are back online. We will not store or queue attempted metadata deposits or updates made during the downtime. This downtime will not affect the resolution of Crossref DOI links, which will continue to work, nor the REST API for retrieving metadata. We apologize for any disruption as we complete the migratration to a new infrastructure and open-source database. Thank you for your support!
