Adrian completed his Doctorate on 'Roman Imperial Portraiture and Propaganda on Coins, Medallions and the Minor Arts in the 3rd Century AD' at Oxford University in 2001. Since 2002 he has been based in Norfolk. He is now the Norfolk County Numismatist, identifying and recording coin finds from the county. His research interests include (but are not limited to) all aspects of the Roman Imperial Coinage, particularly imitations, Roman engraved gemstones,  Roman artefacts, particularly those with a religious dimension,  early medieval coinage from East Anglia, and the 17th century token series. His most recent publication is a book on 17th Century Great Yarmouth tokens and their issuers.
