The translation of the uniqueness of the Holy Quran into English can be addressed and discussed from various linguistic and stylistic lexical, syntactic, and cultural views and standpoints. The Quranic  Arabic words/terms are vivid and magnificent with several nuances of meaning; a case which makes it difficult to be rendered accurately. This study made an effort to analyze syntactic and cultural problems faced by translators in translating the Quranic Arabic hope words l-amalu لَمَألْا in Surahs Al-Hijr and Al-Kahf into English. The findings of the study showed that the translators of the Holy Quran into English faced cultural problems because Quranic Arabic culture-specific terms have no counterpart in the English culture. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membahas mengenai kronologi turunnya Al-Qur’an yang dikaji oleh tokoh orientalis yakni Sir William Muir dan Weil Gustave. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dan analisis isi. Hasil dan pembahasan penelitian ini adalah Menurut Weil Gustav Al-Qur’an diturunkan dalam 4 periode, yakni:  Pertama periode Mekah awal, yaitu dari turunnya wahyu pertama hingga masa hijrah ke Abisinia (tahun 615 M). This essay examines a copy of the Qur’ān from India, now in the India Office Collections at the British Library. The manuscript, registered as IO Loth 4, belongs to the reasonably large group of early Qur’āns that date to the eighth and ninth centuries CE. While some of these manuscripts have charted histories, what is not widely known is that early Qur’āns also made their way to India. There they have their own special histories, meanings and associations. In attempt to address the long ‘after-life’ of these manuscripts, this paper will examine a single example that arrived in India in the Mughal period and was eventually presented to the Library of the East India House by Lord Dalhousie in 1853. While not the earliest of the Qur’āns brought to India, it nonetheless dates to the circa ninth century CE, making it older than any surviving manuscripts in Sanskrit or Prakrit in India proper.

This study discusses the concept of environmental conservation in the perspective of Islamic economic politics and legal politics in Indonesia. This study is a qualitative research using the library research method. The results of this study have proven that environmental conservation is essential for humans to create benefits for people and avoid harm due to environmental damage. In Islamic economic politics, the rules on environmental conservation are found in the fiqh of environment, which is a standard reference for all Muslims. In Indonesia, such rules are regulated in the Law No. 32 of 2009 concerning the environment.

In the practice of literary criticism, including Arabic literature, there are two approaches in evaluating literary works, namely the intrinsic approach and the extrinsic approach. The intrinsic approach bases itself on the objective value of literary works itself without connecting with other sciences, or approaches that seek to see literary works objectively with the propositions of linguistics and literary aesthetics. From this approach was born a flow of semiotic literary criticism and structural literary criticism. Meanwhile, the extrinsic approach uses certain scientific measures in evaluating literary works. The extrinsic approach to literary criticism seeks to see literary works from the viewpoint of disciplines outside of literature. This approach gave birth to sociological literary criticism, psychological literary criticism, archaeological literary criticism, moral literary criticism, philosophical literary criticism, and others.

S obzirom na nedostajanje sveobuhvatnog opisa Mulla Sadrinih tefsirskih djela u modernoj nauci, ovaj članak nudi podroban prikaz sadržaja, ustrojstva i opsega svakog njegovog spisa o Kur’anu. Ovdje predstavljena građa ne samo da proširuje razumijevanje važnosti Sadrinih djela o Kur’anu već i omogućava prefinjeniji pristup teorijskim dimenzijama njegove svetotekstualne hermeneutike. U popisu koji slijedi, Sadrini spisi o Kur’anu podijeljeni su u četiri opće kategorije: komentari pojedinačnih sura, komentari pojedinačnih ajeta, teorijska djela o Kur’anu i djela o Kur’anu upitne vjerodostojnosti. Ovaj spisak prati dodatak koji predstavlja okvirni redoslijed onih djela koja pripadaju prvim trima kategorijama. Through the story method, it can be concluded that the stories of women in the Qur'an emphasize an ideal concept of gender equality. The story emphasizes that an achievement in the field of spiritual and professional career does not have to be dominated by one gender only. Women have equal opportunities and abilities with men in achieving, in the political, social, economic fields to education and professional careers. By presenting and re-exploring the moral values of this inspiring woman's story, it is hoped that the women of the millennial era will be able to present a new spirit in building a nation of character.

The novel "Kai Chand Thy Sar-e-Asman" written by a famous critic, researcher, poet, short story writer, translator, and writer "Shams ur Rehman Farooqi" was derived from the eventual history of the Subcontinent during the 18th and beginning of 19th century; including the era of British Imperialism and demise of Mughal Empire. The events occur and excel around the main character "Wazir Begum" with the blend of the Urdu language and multicultural civilization of the 18th century. Therefore, this novel, which is deeply rooted in the culture and civilization of its era, could also be seen as a socio-cultural document. In this article, the analysis of culture and civilization presented in the novel is brought into the limelight."

This article aims to explore ”scientific exegesis” of ministry of religious affairs of Indonesia. As we know the scientific exegesis is one of the approaches in interpreting the Qur’an which appeared since the middle century. This will try to explore the epistemology of that exegesis and the interest of government in process of writing the exegesis. It will focus in three themes namely ocean, food and a drink, and time. This concludes that first this exegesis is a part of the thematic method. Second, according to validity aspect, this exegesis agrees with the correspondence and pragmatism aspect, but not in coherence aspect. Third, this exegesis is an effort to help the policy of government.

This article deals with the words islām, muslimūn, and dīn in the late layers of the Qurʾan and in the post-Qurʾanic evidence. I argue that in the Qurʾan, the word al-islām never specifies or names the religion of the believers and that the Qurʾanic word (al-)dīn is most naturally to be understood as "law" or "judgment," depending on the context, rather than "religion." Surveying the dated post-Qurʾanic documentary record, I suggest that the appearance of the reified sense of a distinct religion called Islam and its followers, called Muslims, should be dated no earlier than the early second/eighth century. Moreover, scholars have recently taken up the possibility of postprophetic additions in the Qurʾan, suggesting that verses such as 3:19 and 5:3 might contain such interpolations. However, my interpretation of the verses calls this suggestion into question.

The human brain is the great sign among the signs of God that indicates His magnificence. The scientific studies are resplendent with Quranic signs about the realities of human brain. The purpose of this study is to provides a vital link to understand the human brain through Quranic verses and scientific findings. This paper will try to come up with some of the best Quranic testimonials both in Arabic and English translation as a testimony to the fact to prove the correlation between both. The study could be divided into certain sub headings with a conclusion at the end.

The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs has published a scientific interpretation of the Qur’an. The official state recognition reflects its intention to increase Indonesian Muslims’ understanding of their religion’s teachings through that publication. Nevertheless, the objectives of the state remain unclear. This paper aimed to analyze the government’s agenda in publishing this scientific interpretation using a critical analysis method. The research found that many spaces of Qur’anic interpretation are used to report government performance, explain future government plans, and socialize laws and rules to develop Indonesian citizens. The authors of this interpretation also recommend many policies which the government should undertake.

هدفت الدراسة إلى وضع برنامج مقترح لتطبیق نموذج الإشراف المدمج فی ضوء الاتجاهات الحدیثة للإشراف التربوی، استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفی، ولجمع البیانات استخدم الباحثان أداة الاستبانة، وبلغ مجتمع الدراسة (1073) معلما و(450)  مشرفا فی مکاتب التعلیم  بمدینة الطائف. اختار الباحثان عینة عشوائیة بلغت(380) معلما و(217) مشرفا. لتحلیل البیانات استخدم الباحثان برنامج الحزم الحصائیة(SPSS)، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى العدید من النتائج أهمها: تبین أن الموافقة على أهداف البرنامج المقترح لتطبیق نموذج الإشراف المدمج جاءت بدرجة عالیة، وکانت الموافقة على مکونات البرنامج المقترح جاءت أیضا بدرجة عالیة، وکانت الموافقة على الخطوات الاجرائیة لتطبیق البرنامج المقترح للإشراف المدمج جاءت بدرجة عالیة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى وضع برنامج مقترح للإشراف التربوی فی ضوء الاتجاهات الحدیثة. وفی ضوء هذه النتائج یوصی الباحثان بالعمل على تطویر کفایات المشرفین التربویین على توظیف فکرة الإشراف المدمج، والعمل على تطبیق هذا البرنامج.
