In 2022, many authors make outstanding contributions to our journal. Their articles published with us have received very well feedback in the field and stimulate a lot of discussions and new insights among the peers.

New Impact Factor for Translational Pediatrics: 4.047

We are pleased to announce that Translational Pediatrics (TP) has attained its new impact factor update for the 2021 citation year: 4.047.

The Impact of the Progresses of Knowledge and Technologies in Pediatrics (Ongoing)

This special series on “The Impact of the Progresses of Knowledge and Technologies in Pediatrics” is edited by Prof. Antonio F. Corno from the University Texas Health, McGovern Medical School, Houston, Texas, USA. This series has been designed to collect articles across multiple disciplines in the field of Pediatrics, updating the readers on the recent advances and progresses in the knowledge and technologies, from the basic science to the bedside.

Fetal Surgery

The field of fetal therapy has, by necessity, always involved innovation. This series describes the current state of fetal therapy but also highlights the dramatic innovations that are taking place across the field. Fetal therapy, which began in a few labs most prominently in San Francisco, is now a mature multi-dimensional field. Therapy is offered all over the world and innovation with rigorous study, trials and continued collaboration are clearly the path forward.

Pre-natal Diagnosis in Congenital Heart Defects

The purpose of this series on “pre-natal diagnosis in congenital heart defects” is to collect and share with the readers of “Translational Pediatrics” the current state-of-the-art knowledge on the topic, with the updated information provided by the world experts in this matter.

Pediatric Critical Care

This special series on pediatric critical care medicine is a curated collection of cutting-edge articles by leading clinician-scientists from across the world in the field of pediatric critical care medicine. We are particularly proud to have assembled this series of articles authored by a diverse group of multidisciplinary experts from different geographical regions. These articles serve as a compendium of how best to translate scientific evidence into the art of caring for critically ill children across the globe.

Translational Pediatrics (TP) is now a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

Starting from July 2021, AME Publishing Company is formally recognized a publisher member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and over 60 AME-published journals become a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as part of AME’s commitment to best practice in scholarly publishing. Translational Pediatrics (TP) is among the list of COPE membership.

Pediatric Neuroradiology for Trainees and Fellows: An Updated Practical Guide

This series was conceived as a practical paediatric neuroradiology guide for trainees and fellows with introductive papers from experts about the basic approach to different fields of the fascinating area of paediatric radiology.

Pediatric Robotic Surgery (Ongoing)

This special series on “Pediatric Robotic Surgery” is edited by Prof. Ciro Esposito from Federico II University, Naples, Italy. The main purpose of this series is to discuss the updates of pediatric robotic surgery.

Translational Pediatrics (TP) will begin publishing monthly, starting January 2021

Following TP’s launch in July 2012, TP has grown from a quarterly journal to a bimonthly journal since July 2019.

AME entered an official partnership with Publons to enhance wide-ranging recognition for reviewers

AME Publishing Company entered an official partnership with Publons, a product of Clarivate Analytic Company (which owns Web of Science, EndNote, ScholarOne, among many others), as of April 2020. Around 60 AME journals’ peer review systems are now integrated seamlessly into the Publons platform (https://publons.com/about/home). The partnership was done to recognize our expert peer reviewers spontaneously for their review contribution.

Implementation of transparent peer review at Translational Pediatrics

With a commitment to openness and accountability, and to increase the level of transparency throughout our peer review process, our editorial office has decided to implement a transparent peer review process as an option for all manuscripts submitted to TP from March 19, 2020.
