The House-passed Farm Bill is good for Utah and good for America. As we enter into negotiations with the Senate, I will take particular care to defend and promote the provisions which support Utah’s farmers and ranchers. Bishop Tapped to Negotiate Defense Bill
First and foremost, the NDAA is the legislation through which we in Congress ‘provide for the common defense.’ That is an important responsibility. This year’s NDAA will also reemphasize the important role Utah plays in the defense of our nation and our freedoms. Both the military and civilian workforce at Hill Air Force Base are vital to our country’s security. Ensuring Utah and the nation are properly supported is my top priority. -
Bishop Hosts Utah Delegation Meeting
As dean of Utah’s House delegation, Rep. Rob Bishop (UT-01) hosted the State’s full federal delegation as well as Governor Gary Herbert for a meeting to discuss a range of issues important to Utah. Topics included the Inland Port, Medicaid expansion, and ways the federal delegation may best work with the state. -

“This legislation strengthens America’s crucial agriculture industry. Utah farmers and ranchers are particularly empowered by provisions in this bill.
