Alien Opponent's Uncut DVD Debut

We all know for certain that if there is an alien invasion, we would want "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at the forefront of the defensive alignment.

Who could blame us? The former wrestling superstar who captured the hearts of everyone from his days as wrestling's bad guy and anti-hero in the AWA, NWA, WWE and WCW has appeared in the likes of They Live, battling an onslaught of baddies in his iconic role for iconic horror director John Carpenter.

Piper will be back in the saddle to tatter and battle aliens when Shout! Factory launches their latest sci-fi home video endeavor, Alien Opponent, to DVD in its uncut edition. Due on April 3, 2012, Alien Opponent stars the WWE Hall of Famer alongside Jeremy London (Mallrats), Cuyle Carvin (Assault of the Sasquatch) and Adrianne LaValley.

The film revolves around a spaceship that just so happens to crash land into the depths of a junkyard in a small town, and the owner of said junkyard is looking to exterminate the newest resident that has taken occupancy within his premises by offering a $100,000 cash reward for whoever can eliminate it. This causes a great competition amongst hunters who arrive to kill the alien threat at the owner's request, as all hell breaks loose.
