It seems like everybody enjoys Family Guy, to some extent. There tends to be at least one knockout joke per episode to keep the masses afloat in their Sunday fix for animation dominance on FOX. That's why it's such a no-brainer for Family Guy to have a holiday release -- the newest entry into the saga, Volume Nine, will be coming exclusively to DVD next week.
The Volume Nine box set will hit store shelves come December 13, 2011, a week from today, containing 14 full-length episodes and all of the special feature trimmings you've come to know and love. The episode from the box art looks to be the mysterious dinner party special where some of the beloved side-characters from the series are killed off in cold blood.
The DVD will feature the following bonus materials:
- Uncensored footage
- Deleted scenes
- Side-by-side animatics
- Three Featurettes
- An episode of The Cleveland Show with a special introduction from Mike Henry
- Audio commentaries
